Why is it that the whole world keeps up with dates by using BC & AD? If they do not believe that Jesus Christ was.JY

Because of Rome, you moronic swine. Rome became Christian (Which was, prior to that, considered to be a wacky fringe religion on par with believing in Mithra [Mithra: The 'savior' of a religion called Zorro astrian, who was, oddly, born in a stable, under a star, in front of three wise men, all approximately 300 years BC]) and following Rome's change to Christianity, they reset their calendars to BC/AD (AD being a latin phrase). Since most of the modern western world more or less evolved directly out of Rome, that's the calendar the rest of the western world still uses. An agreed-upon calendar is far more important than the reasoning behind that calendar.

Inappropriate?I might add that just because Thursday is named after "Thor" doesn't mean that we should all worship Norse gods.

Inappropriate?Not so fast! Read:
At its year 2000 convention at Orlando FL, the Southern Baptist Convention approved their Resolution 9: "On retaining the traditional method of calendar dating (B.C./A.D.)." With reference to the popularity of the CE/BCE nomenclature, it stated, in part: bullet "...This practice is the result of the secularization, anti-supernaturalism, religious pluralism, and political correctness pervasive in our society." 3 bullet "The traditional method of dating is a reminder of the preeminence of Christ and His gospel in world history."
The resolution recommended that Southern Baptist "individuals, churches, entities, and institutions....retain the traditional method of dating and avoid this revisionism.
