What version of Android do I need to run Thick Buttons?

I have an htc Hero which, has Firmware version 1.5 and ThickButtons wont load on this.
My colleague has v1.6 on an htc Magic and it loads and works fine.

There are loads of other specifications, such as Baseband version, Kernel version, Build number & Software version. Which of these is relevant to TB running, and which can i update to allow it to run?

Hi scarrsport,

You should look at Firmware version. ThickButtons works perfectly for any android firmware version above 1.6 (including subversion 1.6.1, 1.6.5 etc.)

You should update exactly firmware to allow ThickButtons run on your device.

  As far as I know, HTC Hero should get an OS update from in the nearest month or two. You should check this information with your carrier.

I don't know. They replied to me that an Android 2.2 version would be available "in a couple of days" over a month ago, and I have not seen it yet but will look.

Just downloaded and installed thick buttons again, and it does not work on my Android 2.2 Nexus One. Will remove and try again later. It's great when it works....
