Inappropriate?Do you like it better if you change to wide view? You can do so from the settings page. Let me know if it makes a difference.
-
Inappropriate?it's still green and blue, so no, not really.
-
Inappropriate?... But it's *less* green and blue, right???
We may add the option to customize the color/theme in the future. At the moment it's lower on our priority list, I'm afraid.
Thanks for the feedback,
Corinna -
Inappropriate?I know this is probably not a priority, but I'd love an option for custom backgrounds and color schemes just like on Twitter. You could offer some set color schemes, and allow custom background uploads and HTML color code adjustments as well.

Thanks for the feedback, Kat. It's low on our priority list but it's a possibility. For now you can choose between two different viewing options (adjustable under settings). -
Inappropriate?I agree, we need themes! Even simple options to change the colours and background image would be great :D I know it doesn't make any actual difference, but being able to customise things is what I love best about everything.
I’m hopeful!

Inappropriate? It would be nice if one could customize the design of the brizzly page (e.g. font size and colours). This would also improve accessibility for many users and comfort for many others.

Inappropriate?I'd like to see the ability to set my own colors and font. The current font style/size isn't very readable for me, and I'm also not fond of the green, so I'd like to be able to set my own colors.
I’m hopeful!

Inappropriate?I just got Brizzly, and I love the functionality over plain ol' Twitter. However, the white background is really harsh on my eyeballs. Would you please add some way to customize the background, or at least give it a more mellow color. Thanks!

White background burning my retnas.
I’m Disappointed

Inappropriate? Are you working on allowing page customization at all? It seems like the brizzly has some strong visual presence (wood grain motif in contrast to the grey) in its identity and yet the brizzly page is a wash of white and pastels. Hope you bring some visual oomph to my brizzly page soon!

We may consider adding some level of customization. Thanks! -
Inappropriate?I've skinned my GReader, GMail, GCal, Facebook, etc to themes that are less taxing on the eyes. Please offer at least one simple dark theme. Blue, gray, whatever.

Inappropriate? It's still an idea we're considering since so many of you are requesting themes and customization. It's not top priority as we're trying to work on functionality at the moment. Just wanted to check in and let you know you're not being overlooked. Thanks!

Inappropriate? While you're waiting for Brizzly to add custom themes, I've created a "user style" (think of user styles as custom themes for websites that live right in your browser), available at http://userstyles.org/styles/22147
I really like the functionality of Brizzly, but prefer the design of Twitter. So, I combined the two of them. You still get all of the great Brizzly stuff, but in a (in my opinion) nicer package.

Hey Paul, 2 problems. First, when using your style, the buttons to switch between Twitter accounts (should you have more than 1 attached to Brizzly) covers up the search box's dropdown, making it hard to click on peoples' names to be taken to their page. Also, the script needs to be updated to recolor the new "Home-Pictures-Drafts" boxes. -
Hi KatGamer -- I just posted a new version of this that accounts for both of your issues, and another that Brizzly introduced in their recent update. Reinstall and let me know if you come across any other bugs.
There's also a lot of stuff wrong with the Facebook theme, but I don't have any immediate plans to address that as I only use Brizzly as a Twitter client. -
Inappropriate?i would also love the option of customizing the theme. if possible, it'd be supercool if it would also displaying the themes from other brizzly users when i visit their profile. it just adds something personal that i like :)

Inappropriate?Would it be possible to add the Halloween easter egg as a proper preference? It would probably satisfy people asking for a darker theme.
I’m hoping this worx
-
Inappropriate?I think it would be extremely un-tasteful. I'm perfectly fine with changing the base color.
I’m undecided
-
Inappropriate?I agree with Cadence, please add at least one dark theme for now. We understand that it's not high on your priority list but we still want to be comfortable while using Brizzly.
I’m hopeful
-
Inappropriate?Daniel & Cadence, it's not an ideal solution, but you may want to try out the Accessibar add-on. I find it useful when I have trouble reading sites. You can change the background color, text color, and active and visited link colors. If you have trouble installing it because it says it's not compatible, you can use the Nightly Tester Tools to force an install. It plays nicely with Firefox 3.5.5.
There is also a bookmarklet here (near the bottom in the Update box) to make a page white with black text. (You can edit it to reverse these.)
And finally, the Dark Background Manifesto.
I hope these resources can see you through until either Brizzly releases a dark theme or someone writes a userstyle for it.
I’m helpful, I hope

Inappropriate?"We may add the option to customize the color/theme in the future. At the moment it's lower on our priority list, I'm afraid."
So we can now toggle two temporary New Moon themes with just a Tweet, but Brizzly still can't add a single dark theme? How is a trend theme a priority at all?
That's really a slap in the face to the users who have been asking for a different theme. Especially to those of us who aren't interested in the Twilight series.
I’m extremely dissapointed.

I understand your frustration. The New Moon themes were temporary and meant to be playful. They didn't make any permanent changes in the way our app looks. We want to make sure that if we add themes, we're happy with the changes they make to our UI. That takes more work and thought than we are able to dedicate to the feature right now.
