BlinkM's not seen in Arduino, nor in Sequencer, possibly 1 dead?

Working on a simple lighting project, and I can't get my Arduino to recognize the Blink M's.
I have 3 Blink M's that I purchased about a year ago, and tried all 3 and they all worked. For the last year they've been stagnant sitting in a protective box until I decided what to do with them.
Last week I connected one up to the Arduino and then executed the BlinkMSequencer to play around with it. Loaded a light sequence and it's been fine in stand alone operation.
Now, I have connected the other two separately and neither are responding in the Arduino board. I have tried to upload some sample scripts, that doesn't work. Even using the Sequencer doesn't do anything. The Blink M's just aren't being seen at all - there is no start up lights when connected, nothing.
I've tried the Blink M's in stand alone operation, and one gets the initial light loop, and the other gets no lights nothing. I'm afraid that 1 is dead, but the other two work - I just can't communicate with them.
What am I missing here? I'm very inexperienced in the electronics field and am trying to learn some basic scripting to play with the blinkM's. What do I need to do to communicate with the BlinkM's, because now not one of them can be adjusted with the sequencer, or in Arduino.

Need help please!
