I want to get a 4 core IDC cable and sockets to create a serial and power bus. Does anyone know good mouser/digikey part numbers? I have seen some examples around for this and I am very intereterested in setting this up. Also, Thing it would be great if you could identify sources for the same on the site. It is no fun wiring up loads of blinkms ;)

I list Mouser part numbers for those kinds of connectors at the bottom of my BlinkM Cylon post.

Basically:
- IDC connectors: 2×4 0.1′′ spacing IDC connector, Part number “FCI 71600-308LF”, available from Mouser - “649-71600-308LF” and Allied Electronics - “518-2312′′
- Ribbon cable: standard 0.05" pitch for IDC ribbon, like Amphenol "191-2801-124"
