Dejumble 2.0 Update, and Thinking Code's direction
We understand that many of you are disappointed with the lack of updates, and would like to extend our deepest apologies. We have been working on the update over 12 hours a day in preparation of an imminent release.
Thinking Code Software Inc. is undergoing a major restructuring and funding stage. Many exciting features are coming in the next release of Dejumble, however without changes in management and structure we cannot accomplish our goals in a timely manner. We are seeking additional funding in order to release the envisioned product that we know will be extremely beneficial to our customers and change the process of productivity.
It is our focus is to get Dejumble out as soon as possible. Not only have we given Dejumble a face lift and streamlined the synchronization process, we have been pushing to change the face of personal and corporate productivity. We are extremely grateful for your feedback and are exited about incorporating many of your ideas into the next release. Dejumble 2.0, will be more then a simple menu bar application. We have dubbed it A Social Productivity Tool. It is now our official direction to remain tight lipped in regards to features and details of the solution, as this is important to protect our business.
All promises of free upgrades will remain in effect. Once restructuring and funding is complete, an official release date will be announced.
I understand that many may want to switch to other solutions, however I am completely confident that once Dejumble 2.0 is released, the level of quality and ease of use will be hard to resist.
Kind Regard,
Allan Phillips

Inappropriate?Allan,
Personally, I am thankful for the communique. I really was starting to wonder if you had fallen off the face of the earth. : ]
I think people were just starting to feel neglected and abused in the lack of communication about the process.
For the most part people are understanding but no one wants to feel like they aren't important and they don't matter.
Thanks again!
I’m just glad you responding again.
-
Inappropriate?Allan, will the iphone update take place at the same time or if not, when will the next iphone update be released?
-
We are planning on releasing the 2.0 updates at the same time. This is needed as the new update of Dejumble for Mac will not synchronize with the older iphone version. -
Inappropriate? Thanks for sharing this information with us.
As syncing works nicely again, I personally don't see a reason to rush 2.0 out.
I’m thankful
-
Inappropriate?Everything you said is good and all, but do you have an expected release date?
-
Inappropriate? As we previously said at the beginning of this post, we are gathering some investment capital and doing a little restructuring and then we will have a release date. having said that for security reasons we are going dark on the project but i assure you we will have an answer very soon.
-
Inappropriate?VERY SOON ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH. SYNCING ISN'T WORKING... AND THAT'S ONE OF THE REASONS I BOUGHT DEJUMBLE..
FIX IT!!!!!!!
I’m angry
-
Inappropriate?"we are gathering some investment capital"
What was the MacZot promo all about then?!
I’m sick of incompetence
-
Inappropriate?Allan,
Thanks for the update. Good luck with the project and hopefully we get version 2 soon. -
Inappropriate?Social productivity? What does that look like? I just want to be organized and productive. I'll be curious as to how social productivity will help me be more organized and productive. Hopefullly it will line up with it so I can use 2.0.
Another comment. What is imminent? I mean, I looked it up. Here is the def:
impending, close (at hand), near, (fast) approaching, coming, forthcoming, on the way, in the offing, in the pipeline, on the horizon, in the air, just around the corner, coming down the pike, expected, anticipated, brewing, looming, threatening, menacing
In the immortal words of Inigo Montoya, "You keep using that word. I do not thinka it means what you thinka it means." Since you don't have a date for us, perhaps it would be better to say in the next six months, or in the next three months. That kind of language.
I am sorry to have to say this. But, I must admit that I will not recommend this product to another person until such time as a VERY specific date is set for the 2.0 release.
Don't get me wrong. I enjoy using the product as it is. The frequent crashes on sleep, the lack of consistent syncing between iPhone and desktop, the illogical flows from screen to screen on the iPhone are frustrating. But I still use it. It does work for me as long as I "kick the Jukebox" so to speak.
But with the promise of "soon" becoming more like a promise of "later," I would not feel comfortable recommending, and putting my name behind a product that will probably be a good product ONCE it is released. What if I recommended the product and the funding never came and the product was never released?
I know you are working hard on it because you have told us you are. And I will continue to look forward to the release when that happens.
"But if you swim back now Princess, I promise that we won't hurt you. I doubt you'll get such an offer from the eels."
I’m still hopeful.
-
Very nicely put - love the Princess Bride reference. -
Inappropriate? It has been 19 days since we have even heard from these guys. Are we even sure hat they are still out there?
Allan & Cory - if Dejumble is supposed to be a productivity software, why are the two of you so unproductive?? How difficult is it to just give us updates? Allan at one point was able to show us a more developed version of the software -- why can't we get our hands on at least that?
Building on the Princess Bride reference above, I would classify the two of you as the character Prince Humperdink --> all talk.
I’m confused why it is so silent from Allan & Cory
-
Inappropriate?Only because I appreciated the reference to Princes Bride am I answering this. As a very small start up with aspirations of greatness we have been getting advice and seeking some investment capital. In order to grow and keep up with demands we are in need of some new staff. That means we need money and in this wonderful new market is a LOT of work to get. So we are regrouping and getting our investors lined up, and generally working our tail-ends off. We are still here and 2.0 is still "impending, close (at hand), near, (fast) approaching, coming, forthcoming, on the way, in the offing, in the pipeline, on the horizon, in the air, just around the corner, coming down the pike, expected, anticipated, brewing, looming, threatening, menacing". Well maybe not the last two... So unless you want to invest large sums of money or a really talented yet out of work software developer who really wants to work for us, that is really all I am going to say about the future for now. Now if you are so disillusioned with us that you just cant spend another day as our customer feel free to email us at sales@dejumble.com and we will on a case by case bases consider a refund. Of course this will be within reason. As to everyone else that is happy with us (which is the large majority) , thank you for your patience.
"Tyrone, you know how much I enjoy watching you work, but with my upcoming marriage, my wife's murder to plan and Gildor to frame for it, I'm swamped." Prince Humperdink. -
Cory,
Nice quote! I hope you saw the positive in the comment I made. I mean, it is important that you see the concern in my comment as well. But I want you guys to know that I am both concerned and positive about what these apps have to offer and the potential that is there. I think I was fair in my comment and not condemning, certainly not meant to be inflammatory. I'm sure that nothing is inflamed. Of course if someone has something inflamed they might want to see a doctor or use that "H" formula, ahem.
Thanks for responding! I'm sure you realize that the more you respond to people publicly the less they are worried about the future of the product that they have "buy-in" of and therefore less worry about where their money went.
"If you haven't got your health, you haven't got anything." -
Inappropriate?I have supported this software from the outset and waited, aimlessly for some sort of update. Sorry guys, but I cannot accept your explanation on the whole investment capital explanation. First of all, good luck finding investment capital in this environment. Secondly, why would you bother going into business if you did not have sufficient working capital? Which then brings up the question, what have you done with the revenue through the sale of both the desktop and app versions? Seriously, we haven't had ANY updates for months!!! Meanwhile, every other app on the app store is continually updated.
I have been sitting by waiting for a version that actually works properly. Not too much to ask I think. Hundreds of other apps sync beautifully, but dejumble only syncs 3/4 of my tasks and OUT OF ORDER. But I always get sucked in waiting for the impending "updates".
Oh and by the way, good luck to anyone hoping for a refund. Over the past months, I have emailed these guys on the email provided 3 TIMES asking for a refund and I haven't even got a response. Not even an acknowledgement of a receipt of my email.
I want to hang in their because I do think the interface and ideas behind the app are worth it, but how much longer are we going to wait? Time to get serious and have some of the questions answered. Come on guys anyone with half a brain isn't going to buy your whole "going dark" crap. It's a small app, not Windows 7!!! I don't mean to be disrepectful, but if you're asking us to pay for software, you have to understand we expect you have a certain level of competency. If you have been spending 15 hours a day to work on this project for months and this is all you have to show, then realistically, I have to question your abilities. I realistically, can't understand what you have been working on. There has been virtually NO improvements other than a half assed syncing capability, since this app was first released months ago.
Stop dancing around the topic. Either give us a date or put us out of our misery and admit it just ain't coming. -
Inappropriate?I am really sorry about that. We have responded to every refund request that we recieved by email.I dont think your emails are getting through. please use this address and we will answer right away. sales@dejumble.com or support@dejumble.com
-
Inappropriate? Thanks for the response cory. I had issues with registering an account and now things are working very good for me.
I’m happy
-
Inappropriate? How long does it take to change your html code on dejumble.com to let us know the progress of what seems/seemed to be a great utility. I bought the programs, some days I wish I hadn't.
