Iphone and mac sync problems
I have tried sync between mac and iphone and its currently not working for me.
Before i began i deleted all tasks on my mac with the idea of updating my mac with all my iphone tasks. I then created an account on my mac, and then signed in with my iphone.
I found that only some of my tasks were sync'd and many were not searchable, viewable or what ever. In the "groups" menu only some groups appeared and of those that did sync not all of them showed on the normal front screen. Also when i tried "resync data" it created a whole new list of groups with + in front of them (for example "inbox" became +inbox")... so this was weird.
Then on my iphone most groups disappeared. The only groups left showing on my iphone were those that did not sync with my mac? so that was weird. I then signed out of sync from my iphone and all my groups reappeared.
Any ideas on this? I tried to start a few times and couldn't get it to work. Is there any tips or is this a problem?
Cheers

Inappropriate? We have just released a new version of Dejumble for Mac (1.2.b18) that addresses some sync and signup issues.
Try the following steps...
1) Make sure you have the latest version (1.2.b18) (Dejumble -> Check for Updates...)
2) Quit Dejumble.
3) Remove the file com.thinkingcode.Dejumble.plist" located at "HomeFolder/Library/Preferences"
4) Remove the file "dejumble_runtime.xml" located at "HomeFolder/Library/Application Support/Dejumble"
5) Create a new account.
6) Once created, enter new account details on Dejumble for iPhone.
Hope this helps (sorry that its a bit cumbersome). -
It would have been nice if you had mentioned that following your instructions would mean losing the original task list, which is a major pain in the ass in my case!!!!! -
Also, I have tried this and still can't get the desktop to resync the data. I have an account and try to login but nothing happens. This is getting to be more frustrating than it can ever be worth and I need help getting the mess sorted out. I don't understand why I need to use a different email address (especially as I don't have one) to create a new account. -
I'm having the same iPhone sync problems as Cliff, and like him, I don't have several e-mail addresses to create a new sync account! Besides that, it's a nonsense! How can a user can change his password? So, what should I do to remove my existing account and create a new one? -
Inappropriate?2b19 got it working - cheers

Inappropriate?Allan,
I've downloaded 19 beta 2. The desktop version is only syncing my 3 most recent groups. I wonder....
I have about 10 groups created on my iPhone. The 3 most current, I've created after the release of beta 19, and after I've signed up to the server. The other 7 groups I created weeks ago on the iPhone. Could this be a factor in them not syncing?
The duplicate groups that were being created in 19 beta 1 have stopped. Sot thats great.
Thanks. -
Inappropriate?Yeah, I traced down the issue you were facing. Looks like it was a bug in the iPhone version (1.2.0). I have corrected it and submitted it to Apple. The upside is it will sync your older (pre sync) tasks, downside is... when will it shows up on the App Store...
Hopefully this version will show up within a week.
Sorry about the inconvenience. -
Inappropriate?thanks. Glad to hear the problem was at least identified. Hopefully apple will turn it around in a reasonable time frame.

Inappropriate?I am having an issue where I get inconsistent syncs between the computer and the iPhone or computer and another computer. In one instance if I entered info on the iPhone and then wake up my computer a while later, Dejumble does NOT update on the Mac until I Quit the application and relaunch it. :-( This also holds true sometimes on the computer side if I create an entry, the other computer sometimes does not update till I quit / relaunch.
Also noticed if I click on the new task icon on the iPhone, it creates an empty task and I have no way of canceling it since it is already auto saved as a blank task. Then I have to refresh screen for it to show up and delete it.

Inappropriate? Also I am assuming since there really is no notifications in Dejumble, the only way for that to happen is to sync the groups into ical.
First question is will you support mobileme sync feature ?
Second question is when are we going to be able to sync the groups to ical since currently it just says there is a compatibility issue and will not be able to do it till the next OS update. Does this mean there is NOTHING you can do other than waiting on Apple to offer a patch update ?
