Icon missing
Firefox 3- Thumbstrips 1.51 installed-icon does not appear ANYWHERE. Every 5 times or so that I open a browser, it suddenly appears. What?

Inappropriate?Kint, I'm sorry the icon isn't showing up. Are you on Firefox 2 or 3? Do you have a custom theme? Try right clicking on the toolbar in Firefox and choosing "Cutsomize..." Then you should see the thumbstrips icon in the list and be able to drag it into the toolbar. In the meantime I want to try and recreate the problem so we can find a solution.

Inappropriate?I'm on Firefox 3- have been using the beta version for a while and uploaded the final version yesterday. the problems started when I moved to the F3 beta version. I am using the default theme. The icon does not show up on "customize". Perhaps some conflict with other software?

Inappropriate?I will say try reinstalling, which I hate to say since it just means "I have no idea". If you need the icon to open and close ThumbStrips there should be another icon on the lower right of your browser that will do the same. In the meantime I will talk to our developers and see what they think.
It could be a software conflict, but we have not had any reported yet. If you want to let me know what other add ons you are running then I can mirror that set up on my side and see if I have the same result. In the meantime we will investigate and keep you posted.

Inappropriate?I have uninstalled and re-installed of course. The icon in the bottom right hand corner appears about every 5 times I fire up the browser.
Add-ons- Grease monkey, IE tab, foxy meter and Flash video Resources downloader-these are also in the bottom right-hand corner.
All other add-ons: Flash block, g-translate, Rikaichan, Add Bookmarks Here, Colorful tabs, Dictionary search, Dichne toolbar, Image Zoom, Paste and Go,Japanese-English dictionary for Rikaichan, Measure it, Mouse Gestures Redox, Names dictionary for Rikaichan, Hebrew spell-checking dictionary, Pearl Crescent Page Saver Basic, Piclens, Right Encoding, Smart Bookmarks Bar, Split Browser, Tab Mix Plus, Text Link, Unhide Passwords- may seem like many, but every single one tested for many moons and totally essential..
Thanks for your help!! I'm just curious as to what the problem is, as Thumbstrips is definitely something I have grown used to using in the past on FF 2 and is a great add- on for sure.

Inappropriate?Ok... so I have installed many things now :) I could not install Flash Video Resources Downloader, DictionarySearch, Mouse Gestrures, Right Encoding, tab mix plus, since they are not compatible with FF3.
I couldnt find Dichne toolbar, Japanese-English Dictionary, names dictionary, pearl crescent page saver...
With all of that I am not seeing the issue you have. I did check with our developers and they said that if there are other things competing for icon placement in the firefox toolbar and status bar it is possible for it to be overwritien. In the code we ask for the TS icon to be placed at the end of the toolbar before the address space. If there are other addons doing the same then there could be a conflict. I could only test the addons I could install/find, so it could be one of the others listed.
I will run with this configuration for a while and let you know if the issue happens for me. In the meantime can you use F2 to open and close the Thumbstrip.
