Performance problems when using Thumbstrips on sites featuring FLV
Poor Mozilla performance problems when using Thumbstrips on sites featuring FLV (Flash videos). Videos will be choppy and slow, but at regular intervals of XX seconds. The exact time changes depending on the size of the FLV. Performance speeds up when I stop Thumbstrips from recording.

Unfortunately this is a known issue. Sites that also feature heavy AJAX, for example Gmail, are also slow due to ThumbStrips trying to capture the page content. The latest version is much better performance wise compare to later versions, but it sounds like performance can still be an issue on sites w/ dynamic content via FLV or AJAX.

Inappropriate?Is there a way of disabling or limiting "refreshes" on a per site basis? It took me a while to narrow it down to Thumbstrips as this problem still occurred with Thumbstrips hidden. How are you retrieving the bitmaps? That seems to be the major bottleneck.
