Resiting the Thumstrips

I use a widescreen monitor. What with my toolbars and Thumbstrips it doesn't leave much room for the web page.
Can the Thumbstrips be moved to the right hand side of a page rather than along the bottom ?

    Hey everyone,

Currently this ability does not exist. However, you can resize the ThumbStrips window and if you shrink it to the smallest size this may help gain more of your screen back.

The main ThumbStrips panel was designed to overlay the main Firefox window and was positioned at the bottom of the browser right before that status bar. We've heard from other users that they'd like the panel to be docked to the right or left of the browser, especially those with wide-screen monitors. The problem is if ThumbStrips was docked to the right or left of the browser window, it would require the use of a different UI layout (sidebar most likely) and a lot of the code for TS would have to be re-written. The main UI would have to change in order to display our menus properly and the recording and scrolling would have to work top to bottom instead of left to right. We're not saying it's an impossible task, but the feature hasn't made it into our releases.

Has anyone seen an extension that allows the user to dock a panel to different parts of the browser? We'd love some help in figuring this out since it's been a popular feature enhancement.
