LinkServer to Microsoft SQL Server?
Hey guys,
I downloaded the Aggregate Client and the Link Server in hopes of getting our proximity card readers up and running. So far, I have successfully gotten the Aggregate Client to recognize our card readers, and that part works great. I am, however, stuck on switching the link server database to Microsoft SQL Server 2005. I followed the instructions on the support page, but I cannot get linkserver to create my tables in SQL Server. I keep getting an error message that says “cannot connect to underlying database”. I looked in the log and it said this: "SEVERE: Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 1.6 is not supported by this driver. Use the sqljdbc4.jar class library, which provides support for JDBC 4.0." Is there something wrong with the driver? Please help Ive been stuck on this for hours :)
Thank in advance

Inappropriate?Hi chad,
use the sqljdbc4.jar driver file instead of sqljdbc.jar. This file is included in the latest SQL Server JDBC Driver 2.0 distribution available at MS's website.
This is actually an outdated docs problem, we'll update the manual.

The driver name for JDBC 4 MS SQL driver is com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver.
