I have this bag, and I've had it for a year or so. It was purchased online and when I tried to send it back Timbuk2 wouldn't take it, though I hadn't used it. It had been over thirty days since it was received--by my parents who gave it to me later as a gift. So when I got it the return window was over and I was stuck with it. God, I hate this bag. I live in Oregon and commute by bike, so I need a water resistant bag, and can't afford another one, so I carry this hateful contraption day in and day out, and it makes me uncomfortable and miserable every moment that I carry it. I am a medium sized woman, and while I like the size of the bag all the carrying straps were clearly designed for men--ie, people with broad shoulders and no boobs. I just got home on my bike, as usual cursing the bag all the way, and I just wanted to share my misery.
I've just received Original Detour Day Pack (waxed canvas one) but I am not happy with how the back panel is sewed. It keeps "sinking" inside about few inches. I was expecting back panel feel to be like Commuter Laptop Messenger... I've used it for a few days but could I possibly get an exchange? Or is this something that goes away if I keep using it?
If not, will that be an option in the next 2-4 months?
Also, are there any dividers within the main pocket of the Detour? Or is there just the laptop enclosure.
