Underground daypack doesn't match website spec? Last reply on May 12, 2008 03:19.
I recently bought a Hemp Underground backpack. The website says that it has a padded corduroy laptop compartment, but the one I have doesn't!
The sleeve that *is* there is a neoprene sleeve that only covers half my laptop - leaving the top exposed to scratches from whatever else I place inside the bag (bike helmet, camera, whatever.) And I can' really use another sleeve for my laptop because this sleeve is *so* narrow that it won't fit my 15" laptop+sleeve.
Should the bag have a corduroy laptop liner? (Your website says so.)
OR, do I have a defective bag? -

PET Underground Daypack laptop pocket small Last reply on May 09, 2008 13:38.
I bought a PET Underground Daypack. My Dell Latitude D630 fit very very tight in it. How come it is tight like that? According to the spec my laptop should fit nicely. I am planning to return the bag since I am struggling each time I need to put or take out my laptop. Size of the laptop is 13.5x10 (with small wriste rest attach to the battery) -

Will the other colors of the Underground Daypack come back in stock? I was gonna purchase the blue one, but you ran out of it the day before I got the money settled out :) -

What are your thoughts on the underground day pack? Do you like this bag or recomend somehting else? I like to use it for whn I am traveling and sighseeing...not so much for hiking, but getting around town and to use as a carry on.
Should I hemp or not hemp? why or why not? I don't really know the benefits of hemp... -

Is there more than one version of the Underground backpack? Last reply on February 27, 2008 01:22.
There's a good sale at an online retailer but their picture looks slightly different than most others I've seen. On some bags, for example, I've seen "07" or "II" tacked onto the name. I'd assume it's the same but the price is better than anywhere else, so it makes me suspicious. Thanks.
Oh, also, which is larger, the Datadump or the Underground? I prefer a slimmer backpack and I now either will fit my laptop. -

Does the underground day pack come in more feminine colors/shades? Last reply on February 07, 2008 21:01.
I really like the underground day pack as I happen to be a super busy college student with a part time job. And this bag just seems perfect, but the colors are very masculine. Could there be more colors/shades to the bag that appeals to women? (Green would be super nice - it's a very unisex kind of color) -

which is bigger - the track daypack or the underground? Last reply on January 12, 2008 02:23.
I travel a lot, and i am looking for a good backpack that will protect my laptop (compaq presario f500) and while also doubling as a good carry-on. I'm wondering which is a better choice - the track daypack or the undergound? I'll also be using the bag on long walks for carrying groceries and such. -

The haul loop on my Underground let loose. I purchased it summer 2006. Is this covered under your warranty? Last reply on December 05, 2007 05:22.
I use the bag daily, commuting via bike (occasionally), driving to work, or traveling. The bag is quite functional but I miss the haul loop. -

New laptop bag- Weight concerns? Last reply on October 30, 2007 15:39.
Hi!
I'm going to be getting a new bag for my 15" macbook pro.
I was wondering if people have had experience hauling heavy stuff in the messenger bags. I've found that it's hard to take all that weight on a single shoulder with my current laptop bag, but then it's not a Timbuk2! Does the different way of wearing it (i.e. on the back) reduce shoulder strain significantly? Do the contents of the bag shift around a lot when you wear it? (since it's practically sideways). Which size do you reccomend? I'd like it small enough that it's not overwhelming (I'm 5'2 and 120 lbs) while being big enough that I can use it when I travel. (I like to fly with a single bag that I can carry on)
I'm also really interested in your convertable backpacks. The backpack design would help with the strain problem while I like the idea of the easy acessibility of a messenger design. what are the are the advantages/disadvantages of the outtawack vs. the hacker bag? Or between them and the backpacks. I'm feeling somewhat confused without actually seeing the bags in person
I'm concerned about the water resistance of your bags. It rains a lot where I live, will the messenger-type bags leak through the top? (I've never owned a messenger bag and the fact that the top is just closed with a flap makes me nervous. Am I just being paranoid?). Would the Hacker/Outtawhack/backpacks protect my laptop better?
Finally, what do you think would be the best way of buying the bag, online or though your retail store? I'll be in San Francisco between the 15th of December to the 1st of January. Is that too close to Christmas to be able to get my bag? Will the selection be better if I show up in person?
Sorry for all the questions. I'd love to hear your opinions. -

Are there any better pictures of the Datadump or Underground day packs? Last reply on September 24, 2007 13:00.
Seriously, you're a pretty hip company, why are the only pictures postage sized?
I would love to get a Timbuk2 bag, but for almost $100 bucks (and no nearby retailer that carries either model), I feel like I'm going into this rather blind. Higher res and more photos showing all the compartments would be greatly appreciated.
A search on Flickr found like 2 pictures, neither of which really helped.
