I was looking at the black/grey/black Pet Hemp Hacker backpack (I really need a bag that can be both messenger and backpack for the different ways I commute through the day) only a few days ago. I came back today to buy one, but they are no longer listed. Are they out just for now, or forever?
I love my messenger bag I have that is waxed canvas. I'd love to see the Hacker in waxed canvas. I don't like the feel of the slick ballistic fabric.
My son is attending a technology-based high school and needs a backpack large enough for binders and books along with room for a Dell laptop, He bikes to school about 4 miles everyday so waterproof materials would be a must.
I was wondering if Timbuk2 has the right product. I'm looking for a laptop bag (for Macbook 13") that can hold a water bottle but specifically one that can hold a 1.0L Camelbak water bottle. I pretty much carry it everywhere since water is the only thing I drink these days. Prefer messenger but a backpack will also do. Thanks.
I'm a big fan of pink and other traditionally girly colors and I love that you have those options in the Bag Builder. However, I'm also a person who carries around my laptop everywhere and my laptop messenger bag doesn't work for me. That big strap across chest+female= ugh. I would like to be able to customize the Hacker bag colors.
I got a pro series backpack several months ago, and holes started appearing in the outer layer almost immediately. I started the return process, sent the bag in by normal post and had it returned with not enough postage. I've not had a lot of time or spare cash since then to return the bag via UPS or FedEx, but just got my tax refund and would like to do so now. It's not too late, is it?
I've been looking for a good pack for my dog so he can carry his own water and such while we're hiking and out and about. I recently found one that has a fantastic design (it doesn't look like a repuposed fanny pack, which is what most dog backpacks seem to be) made by a company called Ruff Wear. They have terrible color selections and I've emailed their customer service team to see if custom colors or other colors are possible, and the response was that they won't be updating their colors for a least a year. Their packs are made in the Philippines.
My question is, can Timbuk2 make a dog backpack? www.ruffwear.com is the website and the "Approach" is the name of the bag I'm interested in. I know you guys make awesome products that would be perfect for my rough and tumble 4-legged-friend, and I'd love to purchase one made in the United States. Is this something you are capable of? I don't see why Ruffwear won't help me out with some decent colors, but I suspect it is because their packs are made overseas and are probably purchased in bulk.
Can we have velcro on Hacker's flappy panel? I'm usually lazy to close the clips and would be great to have the velcro closure on the Hacker's flappy panel just like Lex pack or Blogger does.
For the outtawhack daypack why is the black/grey/black bag differently designed than the other two color combos? the backpack straps attach at different points at the bottom and are angled differently at the top. I like the way the other colors are designed, but not crazy about the colors, are there any other colors available in this ?updated? design, what's the deal? I was at a store today and saw the difference, and confirmed it in the online pictures... Thanks for the reply!
I bought a ballistic nylon Track daypack about a year ago and the handle is tearing off. This is a lightly used bag and the rest of the bag almost looks like new. Is this normal?
Is there ANY way I can buy a Timbuk2 bag in India without ordering online and having it shipped?
I'm looking at the Hacker backpack (medium), which leads me to my next question. Why do you have the Hacker in just one color on your website? There seems to be an All-black version on amazon.
on the web page the graphite green for the hacker looks more graphite and not really green at all. But on the little color bar it looks more green. Can you tell which it is?
I've just managed to track down a Hacker bag in the UK.
But it doesn't have the backpack straps?
Is this a normal model, or have I managed to get some strange hybrid?
But it looks as if the Lex Pack doesn't offer the laptop insert as an option and their are no other customizable backpack-style bags! Is there anything I can do short of just getting a sleeve?
I'm interested in the pro series backpack for my macbook pro 15" laptop. I need to be careful about carrying things, and can only use a backpack, not a messenger or sling bag. I need the bag to be as light as possible to reduce the total weight, which is why the pro series appeals. I'm a slim-framed female, 5'6" and about 116 pounds. I've had a lot of trouble finding backpacks that fit properly. Would this work for someone my size? Also, it's better for me to carry the weight higher up on my back, and I was hoping to put my laptop (in a sleeve) in the bag horizontally, not vertically (the way laptops usually fit in backpacks. I see that the bottom of this back is 12", which would suggest that the laptop (14.1" wide) won't slide to the bottom. Will this work? Do you recommend using this bag for this laptop this way? Many thanks!! Desperate to find a bag that will work for me!
