Hi Timbuk2, I have the Courrir bag in soft canvas and I want a duffle bag to match. (Say 28"x10"x12"). Can you make one? I think they would become very popular. I saw a reference to a "Travel line" as answer to an earlier question about duffle bags but I can't find it on your site.
I remember seeing Single Speed old-skool type bags on the site a while ago, and now I see a few on eBay... I can't find any Single Speeds on your site, what happened to them?
How does a Medium "Single Speed Laptop Courier" compare to my regular Large Custom Messenger?
I've already designed a Custom Eula X-Small messenger bag, and want to know if it will come with a padded shoulder strap? Seems that some bags do come with a padded straps, while others don't--and this one might be an exception since it's custom. Also my online research seems to show that 2008 bags should come with padded straps, while older ones don't.
The top zipper on my cargo tote (ballistic fabric) is not functioning properly. I got this bag for a gift one week ago. I believe it is a custom one, as it has a unique color patter, not one that you typically sell. When I got the bag, the zipper was already starting to malfunction. It is progressively getting worse. Now, when I try to use the zipper, it doesn't work at all. I am hoping to be able to get it fixed and take this bag on my trip 2 weeks from now as I love it dearly! Any suggestions?
Got this specs for the Commute messenger (Medium) from a local retailer site...
Width 13.75 inch/34.92 cm (Local retailer)
Height 10.25 inch/26.03 cm (Local retailer)
Depth 1.25 inch/3.17 cm (Local retailer)
However the specs differs from the one in the US Timbuk 2 site. May I know which is correct?
i ordered a bag and strap last week. the strap came yesterday with a packing slip that said both items had been shipped on 6/12 but the bag didn't come. just wondering if my bag has been sent. order # is 5155665
I want an ergonomic backpack that I can put my (full) Timbuk2 X-Small Messenger bag, a 15" MacBook Pro (in a sleeve), and a lunch in for commuting. I'm looking at the Lex Pack. Do you think the large will fit all of this? (I think the XXL would be too large for me.)
How about offering the option of a hard bottom, especially with the messengers, a floppy bag with stuff spilling out and the weight of the laptop flopping over is very annoying, so much so i'm getting a different bag, a different timbuk 2 bag that is..
My wife likes the Marina case. Do you know if a Dell 1520 (14.10 x 1.65 x 10.59) will fit? It looks like the sleeve inside has a little slack in it in the picture.
Iknow the product page says it fit a laptop up to 13.75" but since that's only .35" difference do you think it will fit?
I am looking for a bag (or backpack) that I can carry my 15" Macbook Pro around in and have some room left over for my other stuff. I also have a Rebel XTi that I would love to be able to put in it as well so I dont have to carry multiple bags.
Hey there, this is more for the people at Timbuk2 than a proper question (thanks for giving customers such an easy way to leave feedback!)
I just wanted to say it would be really nice if you could find a way to send the bags internationally using a shipping method that costs a bit less than the 50 dollars listed now. I mean I would have been buying it using a card attached to a euro-based account, but it is still to expensive for me! I would have definitely bought a bag now, because there are so many I love--they're great because they have long straps which I need because I'm pretty tall--but I can't afford so much shipping!
ah well, just thought I'd let you know because if you get told by enough people, you could take the comms to the post office and wave them in front of them saying 'we got disappointed potential customers here!!' or something lol.
Bye!
By the way I added the bag builder as this is probably the one I'd have bought! I love how you can customize things a bit with these bags, you don't have to limit yourself to the few colors someone chose for you! It's neat.
I'd like to know which Timbuk 2 products will best accommodate a 17" Macbook Pro. I'd appreciate suggestions beyond the laptop messengers, although that will be appreciated as well. If any cargo totes, ballistic messengers, etc. will fit I'd love to know so I can weigh in on all options.
I had used a medium messenger with a sleeve for a 12"powerbook before and loved it.
I'm doing the build your own bag thing, and I had a couple questions. First of all, if the tabs are smaller than the tails, are they still as easily visible at night? Does it make much of a difference in visibility?
Also, I'm not sure if I'm getting a 17" Macbook Pro yet or not. I may get a 15", but if I do get a 17" one, will it fit in the medium messenger bag if I have it in a separate sleeve of its own? I'd get the large laptop bag just to be safe, except that I'm 5'2" and the large bag looked pretty huge on the 5'3" girl in the pictures of employees with bags that you have up.
I just bought a medium non-custom messenger bag and I was wondering if it had the internal divider referenced in the custom bags. Also what does it look like when you are not using it? does it take up space in the bag?
