What's up with the handle on the new messenger bags? It's pretty convenient to have a handle right on top of the bag for grabbing it quickly. But when my bag is moderately loaded it sticks rigth into my back and is very uncomfortable. I was wondering if the handle on my bag was misplaced or are other people having this issue? I am considering cutting it off. Has anyone tried that?

I bought a ballistic nylon Track daypack about a year ago and the handle is tearing off. This is a lightly used bag and the rest of the bag almost looks like new. Is this normal?

I would like to build a custom messenger bag with a handle (like your laptop bag) but without a laptop compartment (bkz I have a have a suspension sleeve I would like to use).

There does not seem to be a way to build either a regular messenger bag with a handle or a laptop bag without the laptop compartment...what can I do?

Also, just to confirm...are the laptop messenger bag and regular messenger bag identical minus the sewn-in (non-removable) laptop compartment? And... as mentioned, I'd like to use a suspension laptop sleeve, is it possible to have the optional divider sewn in towards the back of the back using only aprox.3 inches to slide this sleeve into (and freeing up the remaining space for books)?
