What is the best bag to get for commuting by bike? My commute is about 1 hour each way on bike and my bag is pretty heavy. My current back pack really pulls down on my shoulders and makes them very sore. It doesn't have a belly strap though. I want to buy a Timbuk2 because i need a more waterproof bag so i can ride in the rain. I was wondering if you thought a messenger would be more comfy for bike riding than a standard back pack. I just got a phone call from UPS Sweden letting me know that they have a delivery to me, Yes =o) I was also informed that I am to pay an additional fee of SEK 415 ($ 65) ??????

I have done some investigation an apparently the Shipping Value and the Goods Description is stated wrong on the shipment ?!
Shipping Value: $ 100 ?
Goods Description: Nylon bag ?

Ref order number 5154582 I ordered a set of standard reflector, value $ 5

I was recommended by UPS Sweden (and the Swedish customs) to return the goods back to Timbuk2 for "re-labeling"
The Goods Description should read standard reflector and the Shipping Value should read $ 12 (Goods + Shipping)

Please advice further procedure/action

Hello, I've an Acer 5920G laptop, and its dimensions are 364 (W) x 270.2 (D) x 30.8/43.7 (H) mm. It has to be forcefully stuffed into the Medium Laptop Messenger's laptop compartment to fit, but fits comfortably in the old Commute XL's.

I heard that the new Commute 2008 has a smaller laptop compartment than its old bro. Is this true? Will my laptop fit in the Commute 2008? And is there any new colours coming for Commute 2008 Large soon? :D

What is the difference between the metro and the XS messenger? Are they comparable in size and features?

Got this specs for the Commute messenger (Medium) from a local retailer site...
Width 13.75 inch/34.92 cm (Local retailer)
Height 10.25 inch/26.03 cm (Local retailer)
Depth 1.25 inch/3.17 cm (Local retailer)

However the specs differs from the one in the US Timbuk 2 site. May I know which is correct?

I would love to make a bag with the leaf green ballistic nylon with a moss green liner, but those colors aren't on the builder.

I have been a customer since the late 80's and I hate to use anothe product form a competitor but i need to know, is TB2 planning on making a slightly larger bag or sleeve to accomodate us large 17+ inch laptop carriers? I bought 2 Dell Inspirion 1720's and 2, Large Wiki's that did not fit then tried 2, XL Curly Q Sleeves only to come up short again. All your other bags have similar dimensions and consequently won't work. What is the story? Is there a plan to make a bigger bag or sleeve?

My wife bought me a custom messenger bag; just came in yesterday. She had no idea the straps were so short, even when fully extended. Why is it that they cannot be made longer than 48 inches? Now, as per the phone call I just made, I'm out $150.00 for a bag I cannot use, and you guys won't help make this problem right. Is this really the case? as a consumer, I have other options since I paid with a credit card, but I hoped you you were a better company than that.

The top zipper on my cargo tote (ballistic fabric) is not functioning properly. I got this bag for a gift one week ago. I believe it is a custom one, as it has a unique color patter, not one that you typically sell. When I got the bag, the zipper was already starting to malfunction. It is progressively getting worse. Now, when I try to use the zipper, it doesn't work at all. I am hoping to be able to get it fixed and take this bag on my trip 2 weeks from now as I love it dearly! Any suggestions?

I have an HP Pavilion dv9000t laptop (17" screen", and am wondering if it will fit in the XL laptop sleeve and in the large Custom tote?

I know the blogger bag description specifies that it will hold a 15" laptop, but will the blogger bag be able to hold a 15" macbook pro? The dimensions for the laptop are 9.6" x 14.1" x 1" and the bag's laptop sleeve is 11" x 13" x 1.5", so it seems the laptop will not fit completely on the sleeve. Thanks for your help
