Recently active problems in Timbuk2 tagged with laptop

What can be done to mitigate the squeak, with the exception of returning the bag to you (which I see you have suggested elsewhere on this site)?

The Laptop compartment is too small for my new Laptop (Asus M70 17" W:41,D:30, H:4)
I dint't find a another Timbuk2 Bag that fits this Laptop. Or I dint see it. Do I??

Does any of you have a idea how to customize the Bag by a proffesional Tailor.
Anybody made this before??

Why are the Bag too small I tryed a few recent 17" Laptops but not any of them fit well.

I'm a bit disappointed

I just purchased a medium commute that is supposed to accept a laptop of 15 x 10 x 1.5 inches. I also just purchased a Lenovo T61 (14.1 x 10 x 1.4) and I cannot get the zipper on the commute zipped because the bag is too small. What is the solution for this? I like the bag, and it's overall size so I don't want to get the large. I double checked this before ordering the Laptop. I'm apparently not the first to have this problem. I hope there is an easy fix.

I ordered a stock (not custom) laptop messenger bag with 2nd day shipping. Never received an email after my initial "order placed" email. Called customer service several times for 3 days in a row. Everyone was able to find my order but couldn't tell me anything about where it was. Each customer service rep assured me they would "take care of it" and email me once they had. I still have not received any email nor phone call. I leave on a multi-week trip tomorrow - guess I won't be taking a Timbuk2 bag. Extremely disappointed.

This is related to my original post which Just Plain Mark made a very helpful reply to. It's related but also ironically opposite. Let me explain. I'm making the assumption that Timbuk2 is a well to do company. I see your satchels all over the place, especially in this beautiful university town of Missoula. My girlfriend has recently been added to the mix of Timbuk2-ees and might I add she loves the custom bag I created for her. But I digress. Your company is not exactly hurting for money but I find it hard to believe you're giving away these smart satchels just for the hell of it, because you feel nice and generous today. So I'm wondering why I got two of the same bag for the modest price of one.

Now, let me be even more honest, I'm not the biggest fan of the satch-bag, I'm a 30 year old who still wears his backpack through the airport and I'm totally comfortable with that. However, despite this confession I could definitely find a use for this extra bag. I could poke a few holes in the bottom and use it for a planter, or I could trade it for some cash or I could give it away to a needy, poor college student who probably wouldn't appreciate it enough. Ha, I'd be better off giving it to the homeless guy down the street so he could use it for a dog food container. No offense, he really does need something to put his dog food in. Alas, the curse of digression. So, even though I don't think the company would go under because of this small issue I chose to report it because there's a bit of greediness inside me. Outlandish thoughts like me becoming a hero and getting compensated for my inability to lie, cheat or steal or even better, getting hired on at Timbuk2 as a rep or PR guy because of my devoted wittiness! Funny huh? How does one land a company rep job anyway? But truthfully, I'm telling you about this because it's the right thing to do. So you sent me two bags for the price of one (it's been a day since receiving the second bag and my credit card has not been charged), how would you like to handle this?

I placed an overnight order for a Wool Laptop Messenger bag two days ago and haven't gotten a shipment notification yet. I was hoping to have it by Friday, having paid extra for overnight shipping and placing the order by 12:30PM PST on Tuesday. Help!

I recently purchased a 17" Vaio and a Commute because it says it can hold a 17" laptop. However, mine does not fit in the back compartment--I've just been putting it in the main compartment with a sleeve and placing my books and things in the laptop compartment. I'm not sure what to do--I really love the bag and would hate to have to return it but it's fairly silly the way I have to arrange things. Would a large laptop messenger fit my laptop? That says 17" now but now I'm not sure. Thanks!

Does a 17" MacBook Pro (15.4" wide) fit in a large WIKI (15" wide)? If not, what is the smallest laptop bag (sleeve, coder???) that does?

Is there a difference in the laptop fit between the '07 blogger and the 08 blogger?
The specs published @ timbuk2 website for the '08 bag say it will fit a laptop 11" w.
I purchased an 07 blogger bag and the hangtag said it would only take a 10.3" w laptop - my HP laptop is 10.75 and would not fit. I returned the bag.
Is the laptop compartment on the '08 bag wider? or are the published specs/dimensions wrong?

I have had my Timbuk2 laptop bag (15" wiki) for a while, but the zipper is now broken. Is there any way I can get this fixed?

It takes two people to get my laptop out of the bag. Its too tight a fit. What should I do? Can I return it if its custom but sewn wrong.

I purchased a Track Day Pack about two months ago. I absolutely love it as a backpack for school, but I'm concerned about the pressure put on my laptop when I'm wearing it and have books in the other compartment. I absolutely cannot lay the bag down on the strap side, as that places pressure I KNOW will damage my laptop. I have not been able to figure out how to test how much pressure is on the laptop when I wear the bag, though. The material between the padding against my back and the laptop is bowed in towards the laptop, came like this brand new, and does not offer any sort of protection. The "360" protection on your website is just around the edges. What do I do about the weight of my books? I don't want to have to buy a rigid sleeve to put inside my backpack, but I don't know if I have a choice - that's another $50-100 right there. Help!

The current strap isn't quite long enough to completely go around. I did not know this would be the case and did not want to purchase a much larger bag, which for two measurements, would have been simply too much. Thanks in advance for any help!

I have a Dell D830 Laptop - the width is 14.25 inches - your chart says it will fit in my commuter bag - - but it does not - - the width is too small? So I would assume anyone with a laptop screen that is 15.4 - 17 inches has few options? Did you recently the change the dimensions of your laptop sleeves to make them larger?

I need the laptop by january fifth, and I need a bag that can fit my System 76 Serval Performance. The dimension on the custom is listed as large enough, but the standard is not.
