I've already designed a Custom Eula X-Small messenger bag, and want to know if it will come with a padded shoulder strap? Seems that some bags do come with a padded straps, while others don't--and this one might be an exception since it's custom. Also my online research seems to show that 2008 bags should come with padded straps, while older ones don't.
Im trying to figure a way to lengthen the the shoulder strap on my classic Messenger Bag. I saw this replacement strap,http://www.timbuk2.com/tb2/products/a..., and was wondering if it was the same material as the Messenger bag shoulder strap and if it is the same width. I know a seamstress that could sew the 2 straps together. I dont mind spending the $10 on the strap if it doesnt work, i just want to make sure the straps look same before i order it. Thanks
I have a classic messenger that's about 5 years old. Lately, when I carry anything heavy, the main strap not only slips through the cam buckle, but disconnects from the bag completely.
This has resulted in one damaged laptop, and one unfortunate incident with a watermelon and a bagful of unexpectedly absorbent stuff.
i ordered a bag and strap last week. the strap came yesterday with a packing slip that said both items had been shipped on 6/12 but the bag didn't come. just wondering if my bag has been sent. order # is 5155665
I have a outawack messanger bag with straps for making it a backpack. My questions is how long should the messanger strap be? The one that came with is really short, I can't adjust it to lay past my mid section, i'd like it to be towards my hips.
I have a week-old ballistic messenger bag that replaced a warranty return. The straps are all softer than my other Timbuk2's. The main strap gets jammed in the cam buckle. And I just noticed that it's fraying on the edges after just a few days of light use. What's up with this? My older T bags have great straps, no fraying after years of use. I don't wanna do another warranty because I'm already out $30 from shipping. Or is there a way to not have to keep laying out $15 for shipping? If I do this, I'll have spent $60 shipping and can't even get a new bag.
My outtawhack day pack shoulder strap pad stitching is breaking? What can I do to have it replaced or exchanged? it is not a frequently used bag in my arsenal. I was a little disappointed that a 1 year old bag with this price would have such poor stitching on such a critical component.
Did the strap material change, say between 2000 and 2007?
I have two Timbuk2 bags, one a "Peewee" in Cordura that I bought new in 1999 or 2000 (I think). The other is a Classic Messenger, medium, in ballistic nylon, that I bought used a few months ago - I think it's only a year or two old. The Peewee has a nylon strap that is very soft and flexible, and it was always that way. I was surprised when I got my Classic and the nylon strap is a bit thinner and much stiffer, so much so that I found it downright uncomfortable without a strap pad.
Did you guys actually change your strap material/design or is it just me? I like the strap on the Peewee much, much better.
I cannot track a package i ordered 5 days ago by using the order number you gave me. and i have not received an email from ups with their tracking number. my order number is 5154697. I have emailed and called customer service but they have been out of the office for 2 days now. I need to be able to track the package because my packages usually end up on the wrong front porch.
My wife bought me a custom messenger bag; just came in yesterday. She had no idea the straps were so short, even when fully extended. Why is it that they cannot be made longer than 48 inches? Now, as per the phone call I just made, I'm out $150.00 for a bag I cannot use, and you guys won't help make this problem right. Is this really the case? as a consumer, I have other options since I paid with a credit card, but I hoped you you were a better company than that.
What's the best way to bike with the cargo tote? I'd like to use it as a beach bag, but the shoulder strap doesn't get short enough to prevent the bag from scraping on the tires (I'm pretty short). Any ideas? Has anyone tried putting the handles over their shoulders and wearing it like a backpack?
Can Metro or XS Messenger be comfortably worn in FRONT? I'm going to Paris for vacation and my personal things will be more secure if I can keep them in front where I can keep can an eye on them, and pic-pockets discouraged!
How about including rings for a shoulder strap, to be purchased separately? For those who don't want it, the rings would be very unobtrusive. With hands full of cell phones, lattes, purses, etc., it seems this option would be attractive to many persons (well, maybe not Kali).
