Sewed on to the bottom face of the messenger, or something like that. For carrying tripods or canisters that wouldn't fit in the bag itself.
I would personally love a feature like this.
For the outtawhack daypack why is the black/grey/black bag differently designed than the other two color combos? the backpack straps attach at different points at the bottom and are angled differently at the top. I like the way the other colors are designed, but not crazy about the colors, are there any other colors available in this ?updated? design, what's the deal? I was at a store today and saw the difference, and confirmed it in the online pictures... Thanks for the reply!
I love the messenger bags but really need one like the old yoga bag you used to make with the straps on the bottom. Adding it to your add-ons for BYOB may fix the issue if other people are looking for another option. The Maria is nice and everything but the messenger can't be beat as far as functionality and looks.
I wished your bags came with far softer or smoother straps! I fell head over heels in love with Timbuk2 bags when I saw them on the Net, but when I tried the bags, the straps are too thick and abrasive for my liking. I wanted to get an XS messenger but settled for a metro, as the strap is thinner and less likely to rub or irritate my arms if I were to go sleeveless. However, even the metro's strap is not smooth as it causes my cardigan to pill! I believe the Eula has an even thinner and smoother strap but I don't like the pocketless design.
I bought an Underground day pack on 12/31 from REI. Less than a year old, and the left shoulder strap is half-ripped off, and the strap in between the shoulder straps is hanging on by four threads. I use the bag every day for bicycle commuting, but I have had other bags last for years without the straps falling apart. I am disappointed so far with my first timbuk2 bag.
Do I have any case here - should I just go to a tailor and have it resewn? UGH!!!
