13" Macbook in Small Laptop Messenger Bag?

I am looking for a bag for my 13" Macbook. REI (http://www.rei.com/product/748545) says that it will fit in the Small Laptop Messenger Bag. But I've also heard from people who say it won't because the padded pouch is too small. Is REI wrong? Or did the bag undergo a revision?

I see discussion about the Classic Messenger Bag, but I would like a difinitive answer for the Laptop Messenger Bag.
