Datadump or Track Daypack - Pics? Commuting?
Does anyone have a pic of the datadump on their back? Or the track laptop daypack on their back? My husband (5' 10" 200lbs) is commuting to and from work by bike and I want to buy him a good bag for our anniversary. It needs to fit his laptop, a change of cloths and a small lunch. Thanks to anyone who can help, i am open for suggestions!

Inappropriate? Thanks Ryan. Any idea if the above mentioned items will fit in either one? And if so which would be better for commuting? I appreciate your help! :)
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?Hey Niknik,
Both bags can easily do what you are looking for them to do--they both have laptop inserts that will fit your laptop, and have a spacious interior for clothes and a PB&J. The datadump is a little slimmer fit, so it would probably be better for riding, the track holds more stuff but might swing around more on his back while riding. -
Inappropriate? Thanks again Ryan. I appreciate your help!!! I will have to make a subtle hint somehow and get an idea of which one he would prefer. Cant wait to see if you guys wind up making the panniers! Maybe next year he will get one of those!
I’m VERY thankful!!!

Inappropriate?Hi there! I have one more question. Is this bag waterproof? We live up north and will need protection from the rain in fall and spring and the snow in winter. Will this bag protect his laptop and clothes? Also should I purchase a sleeve as well for the laptop for extra protection? Is the sleeve waterproof? THANKS!
I’m excited

Inappropriate?Ok, Ive been reading up on waterproof bags from you guys and it looks like the lex pack is the only waterproof backpack. If I understand correctly. If this is true what size would I get to fit all of the above stuff into it for my husband? Would it work out well for the commute, is it comfortable to ride in? What material would be best? Sorry to be a hassle! i just want to make sure I am getting the best thing for him!
I’m feeling needy!!! LOL!

Inappropriate?I personally use the lex almost exclusively. I really like it. I'd recommend the medium for daily usage, I personally use the large, but it's really big and it has some blind spots that I have to deal with will riding my bike.

Inappropriate? And its good in the rain? Is it a roll top? I cant tell from the pic. I'M SORRY!!!!!! I know you must be dying to get rid of me but know i really appreciate your help. Thanks again, Ryan.
I’m annoying myself...

Inappropriate? No worries :) Glad to help. Click on this picture and you can see a number of different pictures of people wearing the lex pack. It doesn't roll up, it works like a messenger bag with a flap. It's not waterproof because it doesn't seal up like a dry bag, but I can say that living in San Francisco I've had my share of rainy days and I have never had soggy things come out of my lex pack.

Inappropriate?Hey Ryan, Maybe this will help out people in the future. I ebayed someone about a bag asking if they could send me a pic of the datadump in relation to a person or laptop. He didnt send me that exactly but sent me this link: http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=Timbu... (specifically this pic: http://www.flickr.com/photos/anderson...) and I found it helpful to figure out the size. Thanks again for the reply, I will look through those. I hope the people you work for know that you are a HUGE help! THX!
I’m estatic! Ryan Rocks!
