does the BYO tote have all the same features (water bottle holder, pockets) as the regular tote?

Inappropriate?no- the BYO tote is a Market Tote. It's a bit deeper and more rectangular than the Cargo Tote (re: regular tote).
The Market Tote has a waterproof liner and an exterior zip pocket but no internal pockets. It's also the only tote that we currently offer in the Bag Builder.
Both are great but the Cargo has the internal water bottle holder that your looking for.
