Does the Timbuk2 Patrol come with a detachable over-the-shoulder strap?
I have just received my new Timbuk2 Patrol backpack which looks great. I wonder, though, if the bag should have come with a detachable over-the-shoulder strap? I think I recall this was a feature described in the video clip on the Timbuk2 website but this has been removed now.

Inappropriate? It does *NOT* come with a detachable shoulder strap. An early prototype of the bag did have the shoulder strap, but the final products -- what you can buy -- does not have the shoulder strap. We figured two straps were enough. Hope this works for you and apologies for the confusion.

Inappropriate?Hmmm, way to be creative, but the Patrol doesn't have D-rings (our photo is incorrect and we're re-shooting it) so there's no place for you to attached a shoulder strap. Sorry! It's a pack that refuses to be a shoulder bag.

how about a waist strap for support? -
Inappropriate?To Labda:
The reason I wanted to buy Patrol is for the should strap. Why spend more when you can get it at half price by buying Daypack.Even the recent http://www.travelgearreview.com/
showed there's a d-ring for shoulder strap.Your website is misleading, hope it will not spread to your other models.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?yeah i agree
should have provided the d-rings for the Patrol
just like this product from L.L.Bean
http://www.llbean.com/webapp/wcs/stor...
kindly make the Travel Line series bags more affordable
I’m confident

hoping you could offer the Patrol in a much more affordable price like this:

Inappropriate?hoping you bring the D-rings back on the Patrol
like this bag: http://www.moosejaw.com/moosejaw/shop...
and hoping you could add a waist strap for added support since it was also meant to carry a laptop
I’m confident

TB2 has added two new photos of the back, clearly showing no waist or chest straps, and that the shoulder straps tuck away when not needed.
