Does Timbuk2 have any double strapped (backpack) bags?
The more people who ask this question, the more it gets noticed.

Inappropriate?I have an old skool version of the Detour bag - it's plain black and while the front pocket doesn't expand out as much as the typical messenger bag does, it definitely still holds a lot of stuff (I often use it in lieu of a purse when I'm Vespa-ing around.) Also, there's a whole page of other options if you don't like that one: http://www.timbuk2.com/tb2/products/b... - the "Blogger" one looks nice. Hope that helps!

Inappropriate? The "Hacker" bag has been getting a lot of press lately. It's convertible so you can wear it as both a backpack and a shoulder bag.
The Blogger actually isn't a backpack. I'm pretty sure it's just a shoulder bag. I don't know why it's on the backpack page.
I’m Wondering why Timbuk2 has the Blogger on the wrong page

Inappropriate?Califaile, the reason why the Blogger is on the backpack page is because people actually go there looking for it. Even though they know it's not a backpack! Crazy, we know but to move it may cause a lot more head scratching. Who knows, it could get moved out of there none the less.
We do offer the Detour in Waxed Canvas! It is also a convertible bag so it can go from shoulder strap bag to backpack!

A lot of people love the Underground and the Track too! They aren't convertible but they both offer some great features. Volume wise the Underground is going to hold way more! It also has 2 exterior side zip compartments, one which is an organizational panel and one is to carry a water bottle. As for your laptop, it would go into the main zip compartment and is protected by the foam back and a neoprene type material.

The Track is a tad bit shorter than the Underground. It has a zippered compartment for your organizational panel, a main compartment for all you stuff and a separate zip compartment with 360 degrees of foam padding for your laptop. It's a good way to go if you are hitting meetings and need access to your laptop but don't want people to see all the other stuff you have shoved into your bag! Oh, and it also has an exterior water bottle pocket.

As for the Hacker... um, sorry but the Hacker is current sold out on our site. If you wanted to go that route you can try back periodically or check out Zappos.com!

Inappropriate? Thanks for the round up and explanation!
That's wierd about the blogger. I was actually confused for awhile and thought that it was convertable like the hacker.
On the topic of the website, is there a reason that the canvas detour is not on the laptops page? I was looking for a laptop bag and missed it completely -
Inappropriate? The Hacker's not sold out, all 3 colorways are available: http://www.timbuk2.com/tb2/products/l...
I’m hacker happy!

Inappropriate?Hmmmm, think I was trying to find the Hacker through Backpacks and not Laptops.
As for the Detour and the Laptop page, you'll actually notice that none of the waxed canvas is on the Laptop Page. -
Inappropriate?Yup I did. Confused me since the page is labeled "laptop" and not "cordura/nylon laptop bags"

Inappropriate?I have a Timbuk2 messenger bag that I love. I have had it for about 7 years and it will probably last forever. I am looking for a laptop backpack but I want one with the excellent waterproof lining found in my messenger bag, From reading online it seems only the "Pro" backpack offers this but it doesn't have a dedicated laptop spot. Am I reading this correctly?

Inappropriate? Here's the skinny PeteyNice, the Classic Messenger's and Laptop Messengers are lined with the waterproof TPU, but the outer fabric is only water resistant. The seams and zippers are NOT waterproof. See below:
http://www.timbuk2.com/wordpress_cms/...
The underside of the Hacker's main flap is lined with TPU, but not the rest of the interior. The Pro Series is made of X-pac, a waterproof (and much lighter weight fabric) AND it's lined with TPU. But again, the seams and zippers are not fool proof.
You may want to consider the Hacker.
