Hey there! I love the Hacker bag but the colors don't appeal to me. Any plans to put a backpack style laptop bag (preferrably the Hacker) in Build Your Own Bag?

I'm also a Hacker wannabe. Love the bag, but the colors aren't quite clicking. Black was available yesterday, but when I came back today, it's gone, so guess I'll wait. I agree, I would love to see the Hacker in a BYOB mode. But at very least, a few more color options would be great (hint: black with highlights is always a good bet). Guess I'll wait to see what happens next. But thanks all the same. My messenger bag is still going strong.

Definitely need more colour options for the Hacker. Either that, or add shoulder straps to the Blogger. I'm holding out on buying one for those exact reasons. BTW, is there anywhere in Canada that sells these bags so I can look at them in person before purchasing?

Here's the dealio- we have two new colors in the Hacker for Spring 2008: Grey/Cardboard/Grey (which is available now) and Black/Slate/Black in hemp which will be available in late March (along with a bunch of other bags in hemp).

All Black Hacker will be back up tonight or tomorrow. We only have 20 units until the end of the month so get'em fast.

okay- sad update regarding black Hackers. We DON'T have the 20 units we thought we had. boooooo!! We'll have more in a few weeks.

Still more ugly colors! I'm so disappointed.

There's another issue here: many women can't comfortably wear a messenger bag because of the size of the strap. I have a metro, and I love it because the strap is much thinner. I'd love to get a larger messenger bag, but I can't because of the strap. Any chance you can make messengers with the metro strap? Or maybe make the strap on the messengers removable so that the user can choose either/or.

It'd be great even if if we could customize just that front panel on the Hacker. Even a little bit of customized colors/patters could spice up the basic/boring colors (black, brown, gray, etc).

I'd also like a luggage pass though on the Hacker, as well as a pocket on the front so I can access some stuff without having to open the bag.

And luggage tags - Timbuk 2 ought to make some!

Love my cargo tote, but if I could wear it on my back, it would be infinitely more comfortable, and laptop protection would be ideal. So I'd love to see the Hacker in more colors...and I'm sorry, but grey, slate and "cardboard" don't exactly count. Where's the pink for us girls?

I've resigned myself to the fact that the Hacker will never come in !drab colors. I'm going to buy a customized Lex Pack and fiddle with it so my laptop doesn't slide around.

Good thinking. I've considered the Lexpack plus a laptop sleeve, but then we're talking $150 + $35 instead of $120 for the Hacker.

What colors does the Hacker usually come in? Right now it's only showing the Black & Black/gray options, but I see mention elsewhere of a blue Hacker bag, which I'd love. Is this just out of stock, and coming back soon? A limited edition? Or just my misinterpretation?

The colors are terrible... I would buy one of these today and pay a premium if I could customize it instead of the Lex Pack, which I would otherwise get but lacking a laptop sleeve doesn't really work for me. How about a limited edition hacker bag in whimsy orange (like the messenger bag)?

or a limited edition hacker with a pink front panel? would really make me happy!
