I'm looking to purchase a messenger bag, but I want to keep my laptop in a sleeve, not a laptop insert.
How much bulk do your laptop sleeves add? My laptop is 14.2 x 10.5 x 1.45. Will this plus a sleeve fit in a medium messenger bag, or will I need to purchase a large?

Inappropriate?You could use the medium sleeve for your laptop! By bulk, are you talking size or weight? It you mean size, you are looking at about 2 inches of your width. Given that these are soft sided bags, that's not very much. Weight wise would depend on your laptop too but the sleeve would add on .6 lb
