Laptop Messenger vs. Mullett: What's the difference?
I own a Laptop Messenger and love it, but I'm pretty intrigued by the new Mullett. It looks like either would hold my 15" Macbook Pro in the medium size, and there are a couple cool new pockets, but what's the real difference? Looks to be about the same size, but might not be waterproof or have "heavy-duty stitching?" Is there a key ring tether? Seems like these would be items not to take out of the travel line, so I'm wondering if that info is just missing on the site.

Inappropriate?Hey Nunya! To Mullett or not to Mullett.... that IS the question. The mullett is about 2 inches taller than the medium messenger. It is still constructed with heavy duty (yes our life DOES depend on it) stiching. The mullett has the laptop sleeve plus other business type pockets on the back of the bag that zips up to keep it all safe while the super-stylin' front flap covers the main compartment that is a big open space with several pockets on the front side. We didn't go too crazy, there still is a key tether, but for Mullett - it's a springy coil tether instead of the regular one.

Inappropriate?I am interested in purchasing a bag, but based on your response, I can't see any justification for a near 100% increase in the price. Bag looks good, but I would rather not pay that much more for good looks. Whats is really different here that justifies this?

Inappropriate?Hey Burt,
The bag is bigger than the laptop messenger. It has a zipper laptop compartment on the backside of the bag. This holds entire biz center that keeps all of your work stuff on one side of the bag. It has a padded laptop sleeve as well as fold-over flap pocket, pen slots and 4 other pockets to keep stuff where you want it. It has molded foam panels on the bag to give you some padding and help with ventilation. One of 'em craftily conceals a pocket for easy to grab stuff. Inside the main section of the bag is a cool nylon interior that houses 4 zipper compartments plus the main compartment. There is significantly more sewing, zippers and pockets, bells and whistles on the mullet and it's reflected in the price.
Hope this helps. If you need more info, you can contact customerservice@timbuk2.com.
