Recycled content in your bags
I see that the Lamitron line is in the works, and those bags will be made out of recycled grocery bags and other sources of LDPE and HDPE. That's great. I'm also interested in the recycled content of your current bags. Brief reviews in online magazines mention the eco-friendliness of the Hemp/PET bags, but I'm looking for some numbers and data. Can you give a percentage of recycled content for any of your currently existing bags? Or at least better define the eco-friendliness of the Hemp/PET bag and a run-down of it's enviro-features? Also, I found the PDF on your cradle-to-cradle messenger bag produced for the TED conference. Have any of the features mentioned there been incorporated in to your standard messenger bag? Thanks.

Inappropriate?Hi Alison,
Your questions are many and the answers may go beyond the scope of this forum, but we'll try to answer what we can.
Our Grown line is 66% Hemp, 33% PET (and 1% Mojo, baby!) and the buckles are constructed from PLA resin (from corn).
Our standard ballistic and cordura bags don't currently contain recycled materials, BUT we are very close to being able to combine our PET and ballistic fabrics so eventually our entire line will have at some percentage of the fabrics made from recycled materials (I don't have a date on that for you but its in the works). I hope this helps.
I’m optimistic about this.
