Sew my own compression straps
Is there a way for me to sew on my own compression straps without ruining the integrity of the waterproof lining? Or since they will be on the bottom and I don't plan on putting my bag in a puddle of water maybe it won't really matter?

If you do happen to sew through the TPU liner you can always use a little bit of tent sealer to waterproof the stitching.
