My daughter is in 4th grade. What bag do most kids get to use as a backpack?

Inappropriate? There's no kids backpack per se but there are a lot of kids who use our products. I've helped a lot of kids about that age build small messenger bags. It really depends on how much stuff your daughter is going to carry. You might want to check them out in person. You can check for any local retailers here:

Inappropriate?A small messenger fits standard folders/binders/ books/lunch etc. pretty well. My daughter is only in kindergarten and she has a small messenger (way too big for her but she'll grow into it.)

Inappropriate?Chloe's Dad should know better. A too-big bag for a small kid is not good for developing bones and muscles. Timbuk2: make kid-friendly bags!!
I’m incredulous

Inappropriate? The Lula is a good small backpack for females. I know it is small if you are carrying a lot of items, but if it is not too many books or accessories it is good. Here is the link:

I’m sure you can find a bag

Inappropriate?Lalique,
Don't worry, I'm a very over-protective father!
She only carries a few folders and maybe a stuffed animal to school, so her bag weights maybe a pound.
But she recently switched to a Eula, which is a little smaller and fits her better. I hope this sets your mind at ease!
I’m a good dad, really!
