Timbuk2 Diaper Bag?
Have you thought about creating a Timbuk2 diaper bag? I love my Timbuk2 commute messenger laptop bag that I want another one to use as a diaper bag.

Inappropriate? We get asked this a lot! I think it's a great idea. The Cargo Tote is a good temporary fix, but a "real" diaper bag is something our PD team knows our users want. I'll remind them again :)

Inappropriate? What would you want in Timbuk2 bag to make it work as a diaper bag?

Inappropriate?- More bottle compartments/pockets, inside and outside the bag. Even nursing moms carry a bottle from time to time. The compartments can also be used to carry water bottles or sippy cups for when the baby gets a little older. It would be even better if at least one of the bottle compartments was insulated with an extra space to fit an ice pack to keep prepared formula or pumped milk cold.
-More tether straps for keys, pacifiers, and small toys.
-More internal and external pockets for clothes, diapers, diaper wipe case.
These are just a few things off the top of my head. I looked at the Timbuk2 tote bag per the suggestion of Labda. The interior of the bag is configured a little bit more for diaper bag use but I personally prefer the messenger style bag, especially the Commute bag. It is a very sturdy bag that both wears well and and sits well on its own. To have the the bag sit up on its own is important when changing a baby’s diaper. I am currently using a regular 15 inch Timbuk2 messenger bag as a diaper bag and it isn’t working they way I had hoped. I also like the heavy duty bottom of the Commute bag since there are times when parents find themselves changing babies in less than ideal places. To be able to sit the bag down without having to worry about where you are placing it is nice.

Inappropriate?Seeing that I am going to be a new Dad in July, I too was looking for a diaper bag by you guys. I love your product and so does my wife, so we were hoping you had something specific like Shelly is talking about. I'd buy it in a heartbeat. We'd love to be a Timbuk2 family.
I’m happy

Inappropriate? Thanks for chiming in. The more voices we hear, the easier it is to prove this bag would be loved if we made it in San Francisco. We'll do our best!

Inappropriate?A diaper pad insert would be wonderful as well. My husband and I are Timbuk2 fans also (we each have a messenger bag for work and school) and would love to have a great bag like what we have now!

Inappropriate?Take a look at this - the team is working on sort of a 'super hero mom bag'

Inappropriate? It would be better based on the Metro or XSmall or Small messenger bag. Something that won't dump all of the contents when it falls over in the car or slides off your shoulder or the back of the stroller. Maybe the diaper pad could be built into the flap as a fold out so it was all ready to go as a portable changing station.
I’m confident

Inappropriate? In a perfect world you could configure any Timbuk2 bag as a diaper bag. Based on the idea of the "build your own bag" but with ability to add or remove options inside the bag as well. Yes, some say I am a dreamer......

Inappropriate?I love the messenger bags, but like a tote bag style better for storing baby items. I like that it "sits up" better.
-
Inappropriate?Totally agree with you. It's easier to reach into a tote bag w/ one are too :)
