Where is the Target logo that they are upset about? Are you saying that Target is confusing the Timbuk2 swirl?
The more people who ask this question, the more it gets noticed.

Inappropriate?there was a target logo on the lamitron bag, but it was blurred/pixelated out for a more illicit/cops feel. the bag was partially constructed from recycled target shopping bags. but alas, target is not a friend of the earth and prefers bags to go to landfills, and even then, landfills must cover up the target logo to prevent people from associating the brand with refuse.
I’m a fan of using lawyers to support the destruction of the environment.

Inappropriate?Um, it was pixelated to keep us outta any more trouble with Target! The cops feel was an oh so pleasant by-product...hehe.
I’m thinking programmer #1 took funny pills today!

Inappropriate?I'm particularly enamored of the part of the letter that says "TBI was concerned to learn that you are using its mark in connection with these recycled Target store bags without the company's permission." uhh...they're recycling your store bags -- of course they have your mark on them. Target, please stop putting your "mark" on your earth unfriendly bags, so that at least we can do *something* with them.
And, "your use of its famous Bullseye Design mark could give the impression that these bags originate from ... Target" ... if the recycled bags didn't originate from Target, then you'd better get busy and sue someone else!
Can't you just print a slash through each bullseye?-- even better, "ceci n'est pas uneTarget sac" across the middle...
I’m off to create some recycled pop-art

Inappropriate?Have you guys discussed this case with EFF yet? If not, you should! I can put you in touch with someone if you don't have a direct contact.
I’m a Target shopper but I'm dismayed that they're behaving this way
-
Inappropriate?I think Target should be congratulating you for finding a good use for their environmentally unfriendly bags! Or even paying you for making the world a better place. And, I'm pretty sure a timbuk2 lamitron bag will be a lot stronger than a Target plastic bag, so therefore, you're giving Target a better reputation than they already have...
I’m thinking Target shouldn't be so lame

Inappropriate?Hmmm, I doubt it. We passed the cease and desist straight on to our lawyers who told us to pull all the bags with the Target logo off the site and to....well... cease and desist the making of any more bags where the target logo was visible. Due to the nature of how the Lamitron fabric is made, it sorta stopped us in our tracks. My biggest concern is, for now it's Target, but what's to stop WalMart, Safeway, Walgreens and the other big dogs from slapping us with the same order? No matter what we do, any print on these bags will show up in the material. Sigh...
I’m bummed they stopped us in our upcycling tracks!

Inappropriate? That's really too bad. I wonder if someone could talk to Target's media / public relations division about what you guys are trying to do with this bag and get them to change their tune? It could be a real win-win. I bet if you got the ear of the right person within Target they might go for something like this. Just gotta get their lawyers out of the way. I want to believe that Target has a heart AND the ability to see the long-term benefits this could have on their brand and public image.
I’m wanting there to be a way to make this work
