Tipjoy still active?
I'm concerned about some posts made a couple of hours ago by Pamir Kiciman on Twitter (@gassho) about Tipjoy--especially so since the @tipjoy account hasn't posted a tweet in almost a month. Is Tipjoy still a going concern? Can you respond to the issues raised in those tweets?

We are currently relocating cross country and so development has temporarily slowed. Users should be able to follow through on their pledges within a few weeks.

I'm pleased to hear that, Abby. Nevertheless, wouldn't it be a good service to your users to let them know about that publicly? The only clue anywhere on the website shows up when someone tries to access their pledges, in which case they see this message: "Our cash-in systems are down for a bit of maintenance, but will be back soon. Thanks for your patience." To me, a "bit of maintenance" means something like "we had to take our database offline because we found some inconsistencies and needed to clean them up," and "soon" means "within a day or two, if not today." So I think this status message is overly vague, if not out-and-out misleading.
As an aside, I am happy that Tipjoy is using Get Satisfaction for support, but I think it would be a great idea to let people know that. When I told Mr. Kiciman of the existence of this page, he expressed surprise and said he didn't know there was any kind of support at all (short of direct e-mails to the founders). -
Inappropriate?I agree with Lary's response. I am just discovering TipJoy, so I was utterly confused.
But it's been a month since this was even posted, can we assume that TipJoy is returning still or is it possibly defunct?
