Is there a way to get my TiVo to always record in HD?
When TiVo has the option of recording the same show on different channels in either HD or SD, will it always opt for HD?

Inappropriate?If you create a Season Pass, it will be associated with the channel airing the program you have selected. This is an easy way to ensure that a show will record on a specific channel. If the channel you select is an HD broadcast or cable channel, then it should pick up the program in HD.
If you want to record programs matching a WishList keyword, actor, director or title, create the WishList and be sure to add the category HD to your WishList. This should work most of the time. If the show is mistakenly missing the HD category however, this could fail to pick up your show, so try to keep an eye on what your WishList will record using the View Upcoming Programs option until you get a feel for how it works.
