Gmail title links not working
Email links from GMail broken from Todoist sidebar and bookmark link. When I add an email as a task, it no longer automatically creates a link to the email in Todoist (using the title of the email) -- it only displays my email address. If I manually enter a title it will work and I can link to the original email. I am on a Mac (OS X 10.6.1 Snow Leapord) using Firefox 3.5.3.

I can't reproduce this problem.

I am having the same problem - using Safari on Snow Leopard. The link displays my gmail user name, and clicking on it brings up a compose message box. Same effect in both the dedicated Gmail Task bookmarklet and through the todoist gmail interface.

For users that have this problem, you could try out http://todoist.com/anywhere - it also has GMail integration.

same problem in the todoist anywhere window - it's not properly pulling the link.

Are you using the standard gmail.com version or gmail.com for your domain?

That's weird. This is not a common problem and I can't reproduce it. You may look into the console (error log) for debug information why this fails.

Hi Amir,
Thanks for your speedy responses. To more accurately communicate the issue, I have taken some screenshots. These are pictures of Todoist Anywhere, but the same error in the gmail hyperlink happens with the Delegate to Todoist bookmarklet.

This shows Todoist Anywhere while I am on a gmail message: the "add email" link is active.

I then click on the add email link, and the hyperlink that gets put into the new task is not the link to the message, but a reference to my gmail account.

Clicking on this link brings up a compose email window, not the gmail message that originated the task.

I am running Snow Leopard, and using Safari 4.0.3, although this also happens with Firefox and Chrome Alpha on my system.
Hope this helps!

Actually I like he title tweaks option. Could you please fix it such that it detects if the title tweaks option is turned on and behaves accordingly? It really shouldn't be that hard, but it'll be very handy.
Thanks.
ps: Thanks redwolf for solution. -
