Can't shut down without quitting Toggle Desktop
It seems that it's necessary to manually quit Toggle Destop from the system tray in order to shut down Windows (XP). It's hard to remember to do this separate task, sometimes, and then the shutdown process hangs - I'd much rather have Tggle quit by itself, like other software does, when Windows shuts down. Is there a setting or workaround for this?

Inappropriate?Hi. Most of the time Toggl Desktop knows how to shut down itself when Windows is shutting down but occasionally it doesn't work. We haven't managed to reproduce this but we are aware of this. Thanks!

Inappropriate?I've seen this experience consistently: shutdown hangs every time. But just now it occurred to me to wonder if it makes a difference whether Toggle Desktop is set to run at Windows start-up or whether it's started manually - I'll try that out and report back if there's any change in its behaviour.

Inappropriate?Nice, thanks for the assistance! :)

Inappropriate?Naturally... now I can't reproduce the issue! Have tried all various combinations of logged in and not, set to run on startup and not, and it's working fine. My best *guess* at this point is that, when I first set up Toggl Desktop and selected 'Run on startup' option, something didn't quite register correctly. Disabling that for a couple of goes, then enabling it again may have straightened that out... I know how tricky it can be to track down the cause of an intermittent problem, so if it happens again, I'll try to take careful note of anything that's different from today and let you know. Thanks for your prompt responses!

Inappropriate? Not sure if this is a related issue but if I close my laptop without exiting Toggl first, the laptop never goes into hibernate mode. I was wondering why my battery kept going dead so quickly after closing the lid. When I manually exit Toggl before closing the lid...the problem disappears. Anyone else run into this? Could also be that my laptop is a piece of junk :)
I’m unconcerned

Do you have Autopilot enabled inside Toggl Desktop? -
Inappropriate?Hello, I have the same problem too. It happens on computers within local domain with small business server. I do not know if this is the problem, byt computers with Windows Vista can shutdown without any problem. Computers with Windows XP can not shutdown. I have to manually clode Toggle and than I can shutdown the computer.
Do you have any solution?
Thank you

Inappropriate?Hi Mariàn. Currently we have not yet been able to fix this. However, we are working on it.

Inappropriate?Toggl Desktop 1 is discontinued, and being replaced by Toggl Desktop 2. It should fix the issue.
