Embrace Google Chrome
I didn't think much of Chrome at first, but it's application mode is a GREAT way to run the Toggl Timer. It makes it almost as nice to use as Toggl Desktop, with the added bonus that the web version is updated more often and so has more features.
A few things that would make it better with Chrome -- allow it to automatically log in when it starts. Sure it has my user name & password prepopulated in the login fields (that might just be Chrome) and I can just click login. And *sometimes* it does log in right away. But it'd be nice if it were consistent.
Also: not sure it's possible, but it'd be neat of the taskbar icon would change based on whether your timer is on (like the desktop).

Inappropriate?Hi Ron, we're looking at the 'Remember me' issue.
Developers are saying that it's not so trivial to change the taskbar icon - as the favicon is loaded only when the whole page is refreshed in the browser. You can't control it with Javascript. -
Inappropriate?I did some digging and found that you can actually control the favicon a bit with javascript:

The demo worked for me in Firefox 3, but sadly not in IE 7 or Chrome (yet)...
