How do I edit the names of the buddies I've added from other IM service providers?
1. Go to your contact list.
2. Click on the "Edit" option.
3. Choose edit buddies.
4. Locate the name you want to edit from the IM provider.
5. Click on the item that looks like a pen (to the left of the red button).
6. Type in the name that you would like to change the nickname to & hit return.
7. Press on the "Done Editing" option.

Inappropriate?Why can't you do this for Yahoo contacts? This is the sole reason that's stopped me from using your client for over a year. Very clean interface but my Yahoo contact list looks like a mess.

Since I don't have a Yahoo account to test this with, can you let me know what happens when you try to edit? I haven't heard of any problems with editing Yahoo (or any other IM account) yet. -

Notice how the top user account doesn't have the little edit icon? That's what happens to all of my Yahoo contacts. I can't change any of their details ever. -

May I ask what browser you're working with as well? -
Inappropriate?I tested with latest Firefox 3.5, IE7 and IE8. This also happens in the Adobe AIR client as well. It's the same behavior that I got since I first tested TokBox last year sometime but I thought I'd give it another try but still get this behavior.

Color me stupid. Yahoo and MSN contacts can't be edited because of how they handle profiles (will update the post). I just found this out & will see if we can call this out in the UI in some way. -
Inappropriate?To me it would be nice to have a feature that I can toggle a setting to say 'Show Full Names' or something like that instead of the user names. Because by default, Gtalk contacts show the full name not their Gtalk ID. Thanks for the quick response.
