Inappropriate?I also have this problem and I have tried to reconnect but unable to as the graphic shows. I am running an Apple Mac and as far as I know there is no firewall stopping it from connecting. I have had this problem some time now and cannot get a connection. I have just sent a test video message to myself ok so why does it say I'm disconnected? Can you help please?
Edit:
Sorry, but just seen my problem is connecting to MSN not AIM. Will the same remedies apply?

Inappropriate?Hi,
What happens if you remove and re-add the account (not reconnect)? Which IM provider? -
Inappropriate? How do I remove an account and re add? Also one of the accounts that it says is disconnected is my default TokBox account i.e www.tokbox.com/myusername. A little more help please.
-
Inappropriate?Hi,
You can remove the account by using the steps here:
http://getsatisfaction.com/tokbox/top...
Add:
http://getsatisfaction.com/tokbox/top...
"my default TokBox account"
I honestly don't understand this part. The disconnect message you're seeing should have to do with an IM account (Disconnected from xxx). -
Inappropriate? Thanks for you help Damon but I do not understand how I can be disconnected if I can send and receive video messages to and from the person on the disconnected list. I again stress that I am disconnected to MSN. Not AIM! Or is it the same thing?

I will follow your instructions and remove and re add the account and hope it works. -
Inappropriate?Hi,
And what happens when you try to reconnect on that button? Are you behind a firewall?
Note: A video message isn't connected to an IM account (different features). -
Inappropriate?Hi Damon,
I am now totally confused! As you can see I am now disconnected (apparently) from MSN although when I click it It shows I am connected ok, but to Yahoo, which I set up yesterday.

My connection is still not showing for my son although I received a video message from him yesterday. But as you say video is separate from chat. I haven't been able to send him a chat invitation as it says he is offline. I always thought I could send a chat message to someone even if they are offline. Am I wrong?

I am possibly not understanding the function of TokBox and getting frustrated! -
Inappropriate?Hi,
"I always thought I could send a chat message to someone even if they are offline. Am I wrong?"
Correct (not available at this time). I also think video message is being confused with video mail, which can be sent whenever you want (different feature).
The message you're getting for the MSN account means you have to press on the reconnect option (if not, you wouldn't be able to contact MSN contacts...if that makes sense). -
Inappropriate?Hi Damon,
I guess we are going round in circles. When I click on the red "disconnected panel" I get the window below.

The top account is mine and the bottom one my son. So when I click on reconnect to my account nothing happens other than returning to "reconnect" and to my son I am asked for a password. What password is this - mine or my sons? Is it time to give up on this? I have Skype also and don't get any problems!
Regards anyway. -
Inappropriate?Top account:
It always returns to reconnect? What happens if you remove and re-add the account? Are you also logged in directly at Yahoo Messenger at the same time?
Bottom account:
It would be the username and password associated with the account (your son's info). -
Inappropriate?Hi Damon and thanks for all your advice.
Although it still says I am disconnected from MSN I am connected to Yahoo today, conversely to yesterday when it said I wasn't. As you suggest the bottom account requires my son's account log in details.
I think we have exhausted all avenues on this so I shall have to accept that I am not entirely sure what the problem is and continue as it stands with regard to the "disconnected to MSN" warning. Possibly when my son logs on with his password etc it will all disappear. Unfortunately I can't validate that now as he is abroad on holiday so will try when he returns. If it proves successful I shall post back.
Thanks again for your help. -
Inappropriate?Hi,
Glad to help. You might want to ask your son if he changed his login details at all (could be a factor).
