the microphone option isnt working.
I am using Ubuntu. I have several options for audio input but tokbox only gives me "Linux Microphone". I have put a standard Mic in the front and rear port, I have tried my USB and I have tried the one with the camera and still no response from the settings. and people can not hear me. All other applications that use a mic are not open at the time.

Inappropriate?Hi Troy,
The unfortunate answer is that our site isn't fully compatible with Linux yet. What kind of webcam are you using with the USB? What version of Flash are you on?
Note: I can't give a lot of pointers because we don't fully support Linux (some customers have issues, some don't). -
Inappropriate?LOL..Ok it is Tray (not Troy) and I am using Flash 10. The webcam is a UVC webcam (USB Video Class) and the video isnt the issue. But the webcam is a Panda 10C. I am using a GN Netcom 8110 USB Headset. I also have a Microphone that is plugged into the Mic port on the machine. None seem to be giving sound to the tokbox application.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Ha...sorry about that. Didn't have my glasses on and I fat-fingered your name:)
Microphone detection is still a Flash issue (understand that it is isn't the video your having an issue with per se...but the mic is associated with the camera most likely).
Can you try downgrading to an earlier version of Flash to see if it helps (9.0.115 or above)? info on how to do so: http://tinyurl.com/ev8rn
Again, I have to reiterate that we don't fully support Linux at this time & I can only give some general guidelines right now that may/may not work. -
Inappropriate?Tokbox currently doesn't fully support the Linux platform, which means that Tokbox can't guarantee that the site will work with
Linux machines at this time (we hope to have full support in the near future).
Potential resources that might help you resolve Tokbox cam detection issues:
Linux discussion forums: http://www.linuxforums.org/
The Flashcam project: http://www.swift-tools.net/Flashcam/
64-bit machines:
If you're on a 64-bit system using Linux, installing the Adobe Plugin for 64-bit machines might help resolve some webcam and microphone detection
issues. You can download the 64-bit plugin here: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flash... -
Inappropriate?Damon,
I was on the 64-bit when I first asked this question and I already had the 64 bit version of flash installed. I have already been to the linux forums the only one that would be new would be the swift-tools/Flashcam. I will look into it, but I am already using another product that "just works" on my machine and with my hardware.
Thank you for the response.
