Broken Screen!
what do i do if i just bought my tomtom a week ago, and the mount did not last on my dashboard, and it fell on the ground, breaking my screen at the same time. i was willing to continue using it with the cracked screen, until i realize that it didnt work? so i need it to be fixed, what are the procedure and warranty?

Inappropriate?I just spoke with customer service on this issue and they state that this is not covered. they stated that they do not fix the item to take to best buy or radio shaIck to have fixed I called both stores and they stated that they do not repair these item. what are we suppose to do?

Inappropriate?Will they refuse to fix it, even if it's under warranty from the store it was purchased from? Does anyone know? If so, is there any way to report them to the Better Business Bureau?

Inappropriate?I do some work with TomTom - broken screens count as physical damage and are not covered under the warranty.
From the TomTom Limited Warranty:
The Limited Warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear, does not apply when the Hardware is opened or repaired by someone not authorized by TomTom and does not cover repair or replacement of any Hardware or part thereof damaged by: misuse, moisture, liquids, proximity or exposure to heat and accident, abuse, non-compliance with the instructions supplied with the Hardware, neglect or misapplication. The Limited Warranty does not cover physical damage to the surface of the Hardware. This Limited Warranty does not cover any software that may accompany or be installed on the Hardware. The Limited Warranty does not cover the installation, removal or maintenance of the Hardware or any costs related herewith.

So lets get hypothetical....where do i get my cracked screen repaired / replaced on my GO 730 if its not covered under warranty? Please dont tell me 'any electronics shop' like your phone reps did because they all said go back to TomTom & get a new screen. I dont mind purchasing a new screen, just tell me where i can get one.
btw...your phone service reps are unbelievably unhelpful, all they want to do is sell me a 'customer loyalty program'... which i dont want after all of the difficulties i've have with this unit. -
Inappropriate?Basically the limited warranty is limited to non-existence. When the badly designed suction cup fails it seems to me that it's their fautlt for faulty design and they should be responsible.

Inappropriate?John this is a common problem. I just junked my 2007 Toyota Highlander because the windshield cracked, but Toyota said they would sell me a new one at a discount! Would you but a car from a company like that? Hell no, this is why I'll never but another product from TomTom. I also cracked my screen and they refused to help me.
