Dead Tom Tom
I have a TT One, the green light is on, but the device will not work. i have done the soft and hard reset about 10 times, i have taken out the SD card tried to start it, i have removed the " trashes" folder from the SD card, i have tried everything in all of the blogs, nothing works- is the battery? is the screen is just dead?
Any help would be appreciated.

Inappropriate?I have this problem as well with my tomtom910 - the reset button has been rest, and the on switch held down, but so far, no restart, just a green light and a blank screen.

New here but had same problem with my 710 light is on but nobody home lol
I sent mine away to some guy in the north, cost 55 pounds and he sorted it out. Something about a reset inside the unit. Think it's done on purpose by tom tom to annoy us all. lol

Inappropriate?Try this from the tomtom website which tells you how to find the carefully hidden reset button for different TomTom models - you'll need a paperclip - this reset method worked for my TomTom510 when I thought it was dead. I was really pleased to hear that annoying little tomtom sound when it started up again after me assuming it was ready for the bin!

Inappropriate?Thanks for the advice, and I hope the reset trick worked for mac.
The problem I have is that it does not charge properly - it charges intermittantly when on the car charger and held vertically, but not when horizontal, or on the PC charger on my desk. The charge doesn't last all that long either as when I fix to my windscreen the battery expires after a few minutes.
I'll probably try and see if I can claim on the warranty as nothing I have seen on the internet gives a fix fir a charging problem.
