Hands free with Traffic subscription problems
I have a new TomTom 930. I receive traffic updates (subscription) via my mobile phone, a Motorola V3i. Works fine, but causes a problem with the phone's hands free function:
I can have either traffic updates or hands free, but not both.
When I first turn on my TT, it bonds with the phone and I can use the hands free function, but only until my TT receives a traffic update through my mobile phone.
The traffic update disables the hands free function at the same time, which it does not restore after the traffic update has finished. A red crossed out phone icon then appears on the TT screen.
TomTom have even had my TT in for a check but it came back with no problems showing.
Does anybody experience similar problems and does anyone have a solution?

Inappropriate?I assume that you have gone through the set - up of pairing the phone on Tom Tom. The first action I suggest is, delete the connection with the phone and try again. Next if you have access to another phone with blue tooth, try bonding that phone. This would give some indication as to the ability of your 930 to work with the mobile phone's. I don't have any experience with Motorola phones but your phone set up.
Regarding my own experience's in the past, I have owned TT 500,910 and my current unit is the 930, on all units there have be occasions when I have had to make a number of attempts to pair up the phones to the units.
Good Luck -
Inappropriate?I've already packed my TT930 for it's RMA so I can't check but I'm pretty sure that there is a setting for when the phone won't allow both handsfree and data links simultaneously. Of course, it may be a bit much to ask the TT930 to actually honor it's settings...
