TomTom Australia Service center gave me excellent service
My 10 mth old TT OneXL fell off the windshield while the car was parked in my garage overnight. I found it on the floor with a cracked screen the next morning. I called Tomtom service, and they kindly offered to repair it under warranty. i sent it in, it came back about a week later - good as new. Thanks very much TomTom Sydney, Australia your customer service is excellent.

My Tomtom 930T did the same thing here in the US two weeks after I got it. Tomtom refused to fix it at their cost or, as I offered to pay, even at my expense. No customer service exists here in the US. None .
It's sad because with decent customer service in the US Tomtom could easily outdo Garmin. Without it, there's no chance.

Disappointing to see there is such a vast difference in the service standard between Tomtom Australia and Tomtom USA.
You guys have many more millions of potential customers for Tomtom, we are only a small market. You would think that Tomtom would look after their USA customers and endeavor to protect their own reputation?
However, to Tomtom Australia's credit, I felt it would be fair to give some good feedback on their local performance in case any Aussies are reading these forums and may be discouraged from purchasing Tomtom products after reading the multitude of horror stories that our USA friends have posted describing the awful treatment they received from Tomtom USA customer "service".
Stan, I hope you can find an independent repairer who can replace the damaged screen.
I have learned from this experience - I am going to buy a better mounting kit.
Those suction cup holders are a disaster waiting to happen.
