TomTom should use the camera on the iPhone to overlay navigation info on a real world view.
I'm really looking forward to the new TomTom for iPhone app, but one thing that would be really cool is some kind of augmented reality view, where the app takes in video from the iPhone's camera, and the navigation view is overlaid on top of the video.
This would be much better than a 3D rendering of your environment, which a lot of GPS makers are working on.
