What's up with this TomTom?
I have been without a signal most of this day. What good does it do to have this if there is no signal?
Also, the maps are not up to date!
We have new neighborhoods that are over 2 years old that are not on this devise!

Inappropriate?Hi Sandra,
test it outdoors, it needs to have a clear view of the whole sky, so that it can scan the current location of the satellites. If you can hook it up to a PC with the USB cable, and download "Tomtom Home" software from their website, it will update your Tomtom with some data that will help find the satellites faster.
(Quick GPS fix)
Tomtom provides free Map correction downloads - but that only fixes mistakes on the map currently in your Tomtom GPS. Sounds like these new Neighborhoods may only show up in a newer version of the map?
I'm not sure how old your TT is, but if your device and map are fairly new, then it could just be that the Map suppliers are behind the times.
You can update your map also using the Tomtom Home software, there is a Map Update Service option, and they charge a small amount per quarter to download the latest version. The TT Home software will ask for your credit card details, and then proceeds to download the new map version directly to your TT. Don't buy the whole new map, that's too expensive, just get the quarterly update. I am in Australia, but I also use my TT when I visit USA, and
our quarterly updates for the USA map are AUD12.95 ( about USD10.00)
Regards
Peter
I’m hoping this helps
