Didn't for me, but you seem to be on a PC and did the upgrade a while back. We just received it for Mac. Kinda wishing we hadn't.
Good luck.

Inappropriate?Did not fix my problem, appears to be a bug not a memory problem, only happens on certain slider settings.
-
Inappropriate? Please open Adjust, click button "menu..." and then "About". Make sure it is V3.2.1. If it is not, please download and re-install:
http://www.topazlabs.com/src/topazadj...
If you are already using V3.2.1, let me know and I may need more details to investigate. -
Inappropriate?Yes it is V3.2.1, I have tried reinstalling.
-
Inappropriate? What is the size of the image you are having problem?
If you can somehow catch the slider setting that is causing the problem, it will be very helpful for me to look into it. V3.2.1 so far seems to be very stable and we need to be able to reproduce your problem in order to fix it. -
Inappropriate?Image size: 1201 x 1502 pixles
16bit image, also the same problem after converting to 8bit
Photoshop CS (version 8)
Worked OK when I tried some of the defult presets, the problem appears to happen only when the Noise surpression filter is adjusted above "0".
I have tried a number of different settings and all work OK until I advance the noise Surpression filter above zero.

Inappropriate?Hi Stephen,
Try re-downloading and re-installing the software from http://www.topazlabs.com/downloads
It'll work now.
Best,
Eric

Inappropriate?Uninstalled and reinstalled the download and same problem.
procEngine error code 1000
But now not every time I advance noise surpression.

-
Inappropriate?Stephen, try this:
1. Go into your Photoshop Plug-Ins folder and completely delete anything that has to do with Topaz Simplify or Adjust. After this, check to make sure they’re gone by going to the Photoshop Filters menu and make sure they’re not in the Filters menu.
2. Delete anything on your desktop or downloads folder that has to do with Adjust or Simplify
3. Re-download the installer here: http://www.topazlabs.com/downloads . Make sure that there’s a progress bar and it takes at least a few seconds to download (make sure it’s not instantaneous).
4. Open and install.
It should now work.
Best,
Eric

Inappropriate?Hi Stephen,
The problem may be caused by an image too large for your existing memory settings, in that case. How much memory do you have, and how big is the image you're using?
Best regards,
Eric
-
Inappropriate?Actually, I take that back. If you're using Mac and you're getting procEngine crashes, the problem will be fixed if you get the newest version. Stephen, the newest version for Mac is actually v3.2.2 not v3.2.1, so please try re-downloading it. As I said above, make sure there's a progress bar and it takes more than a few seconds to download.
You should have v3.2.2 afterwards and the procEngine error should go away.
Thanks!
Eric

Inappropriate? The details are in my previous posts.
I have set PS-CS1 to 60% memory, Running XP core2 with 2 gig of memory. (since tried 50%) (I am running a pc, Sony VAIO)
Image size: 1201 x 1502 pixles (fairly small image)
16bit image, also the same problem after converting to 8bit
Photoshop CS (version 8)

Inappropriate?Just let you know that we may need a little more time to look into it. Need to get hold of a CS...
Meanwhile, could you please check if your enabled your virtual memory. You can do this in Control pannel->Systems->Advanced->Performance->Advanced and check the Virtual Memory setting. Setting the virtual memory to 4GB if you can. -
Can you tell me how to do this on a mac?? Thanks -
Inappropriate?Had my virtual memory set to 3gig, changed to 4gig, and it appears to have fixed the problem.

Inappropriate?Albert, I am getting the same error code. My max virtual memory setting is 2688 MB. I have it set at that and I am getting the error code. I have also uninstalled/reinstalled the program. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
-
Inappropriate?Hi Steve, Could you try to increase the virtual memory?
-
Inappropriate?I think I've fixed it. Didn't realize there was a minimum and maximum size for it.

Inappropriate?I have a similar error, but i had a batch process to convert a movie using topaz adjust, this came up every 90-120 frames. (movie converted to TIFS and applied to the whole lot). tried the latest version. and virtual memory settings.
-
Inappropriate?Hi Nlawson, Are you using Mac or Windows? How much RAM on your computer? Photoshop version
We are investigating... -
Inappropriate?Hi Albert,
Just recently upgraded to the latest mac pro 8 core, 8gb ram so i think it should be enough. i have both vista 32/64 and osx and photoshop cs4, as moving from windows to mac where i can, but still in the transition stage.
i did also try doing the same on windows vista 64, photoshop CS4 64 bit, on the same machine but it was much slower and only seemed to use one core.
its not a major problem for me as i dont envisage "adjusting" lots of videos, but a Final Cut/after effects movie plugin might be neat and i might end up using it a lot... but the end result looked pretty cool. :)
thought it might help with the issue other people are having. not had the problem on a "single" image and the canon 5dMKii ones are pretty big.
cheers
Neil -
Inappropriate?I've had the same issues in the past, I took Albert's advise and everything has been preforming flawlessly. I recently switched to the Canon 5D MkII and the files are much larger than before. A finished Topaz file is 120M. Now I've started getting those dreaded "Error Code:-1000" again. Have I maxed out the file size?

Inappropriate?Just an update. We have been looking at a way to solve this and preparing an update. Hopefully we can get it out by next week.

How do you do this on mac??? I recently upgraded to mac and I'm having the same problems. I do have the most current topaz. Thanks for the tips. Anything else I can do on a mac??? -
Inappropriate?Hi glo,
You don't need to do it on Mac. You can try to reduce the Photoshop RAM use, say to 70%, to leave more room for plug-ins. It can be changed in PS under preference->performance. -
Not using a Mac but have been getting the -1000 error on Vista with the adjust -unable to use "spicify" . Over 4 GB virtual memory. Have just gone in and altered settings in CS4 prefs and spicify worked ok at last. Thanks! -
Inappropriate?Ozal, what did you change in prefs just so I know as I am new and getting the 1000 proc error, have raised virtual memory on vista to 4090mb (over 4gig). using cs4.

Inappropriate?I`m using XP Pro service pack 2 with 4 gig or ram, but I was told by dell the computer only picks up 3.25 gigs or ram, is this a problem? I checked system , dell vostro intel core duo, yes only shows 3.25 gigs of ram. They said if you upgrade to vista it will show 4 gig or ram available. but I don`t want to use vista this is a new computer with XP installed. I have virtual memory set to 4090mb. 4092 is the max available for xp virtual ram. PsCS4 says ideal range of memory usage is 918-1202mb. Available ram 1670mb, and I have chosen 1186 mb to fit within that range and allow space for the system itself to operate. scratch disk has free space of 218 gb.

Hi!
I am getting the “-1000 Error” only when I used the brush instead of the pencil for masking.
I hope that may help someone.
Comment by mark on October 8, 2009 @ 2:49 pm
same here, use PENCIL. 100% opacity. proc error 1000 appears when you use the brush, but I dont get it with the pencil tool. I`m dissappointed with the masking outcome on black hair against pale background. it just does a cut out..
I’m sad
-
Inappropriate? So far I get a better almost automated result from Fluid Mask 3. I`d like to see some hair extraction demo`s against natural backgrounds in remask from the team.
I’m indifferent
-
Inappropriate?Hi Mark,
Thanks for your feedback.
We will be offering more ReMask tutorials in the near future for the current version of ReMask and also for the new version when it is available.
I will make a note to include some hair extraction tips in these.
Please let me know if you have any questions or any additional comments.
Best,
Ashley

Inappropriate?any fix on the proc error 1000?? ...I still can only use the pencil tool, not the brush tool, another user noted on the blog the pencil tool produces the same error for him..I posted my pc spec details here, any resolution yet? Or will it be the next version release? ...just need some clarification feedback thanks...
-
Inappropriate?Hi Mark,
Thanks for your message. As of 10/6 there was an updated version of ReMask available at: http://www.topazlabs.com/downloads. This update will help with the occurrence of the proc engine error 1000.
In addition our developers are still working on some additional options for managing this memory issue.
If you need to get the new version please do the following:
Please uninstall ReMask and clear your temporary internet files.
For Mac you will go to HD -> Applications -> Photoshop -> Plug-ins and drag the ReMask folder to the trash.
For Windows you will go to your Control Panel and use your Add / Remove programs feature.
Then download and install the ReMask update available online at: http://www.topazlabs.com/downloads. When you download please use the “ALT” link. Then reinstall.
Also, the new ReMask program with the interface should be available before the end of the year. The availability of it will be announced in our newsletter. You can sign up for that online at: http://www.topazlabs.com/list.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Best,
Ashley

Inappropriate?I downloaded the latest version on the 8th so I have the latest version.
good to see their working on the memory issue.
You may want to look at the help pdf download link for Remask also, after downloading it says the file is corrupt and won`t open.
Mark.
I’m having stronger expectations
-
Inappropriate?Hi Mark,
Thanks for the heads up. I'll check it out.
Please let me know if you need anything else.
Best,
Ashley
