error 898 indicate out of memory problem. If you are using Photoshop, you should reduce PS memory usage: menu: edit->preference...->performance. and reduce the max RAM Photoshop allows to use. This will leave more room to Adjust.
If you still run into this error, please include more info about your computer, PS version in your reply.
