topaz detail will not open
I have downloaded topaz detail and it shows up in the filters, but will not open. A bar pops up and it looks like it is going to do something, but then it quickly disappears and nothing happens.

Inappropriate?I have the exact same problem! Dialogue box pops up and says "topaz plugin pre-processing" and quickly disappears then, nothing. Tried several re-installs and replacing the shortcut (tlcontrast) in the plug-in folder (CS4) with the actual plugin (tldetail.8bf). No luck, help!

Does Detail need an AMD fix similar to Denoise? -
Inappropriate?Mine is acting the very same way as "Funky's" and I also did two uninstall/re-installs but got the same results. Are you folks running on an AMD processor? I'm on an HP Pavilion with an AMD and like Funky said, this may need a fix like Denoise needed.

It may be that the window is just behind Photoshop. You may want to try clicking around Photoshop and re-clicking on the window. It should pop up after some clicking here and there around different windows.

Inappropriate?I've done this several times already. I also re-downloaded it a couple times and tried to re-install. Even tried to re-pair it...I'm still getting the same results. I'm working with CS3 if that makes a difference and a pc.

Our developers are working on some additional updates for crashes and also for increasing pre-processing speed.
We hope to have these available in the next few weeks.
Also, at your convenience would you please uninstall Detail. Then go to: http://www.topazlabs.com/downloads and download the updated version and see if this helps with the crashes?
